Luther has new secret weapon!!!
Norse undefeated (at home) since deployment!!! ;)
Secret weapon is really big!!!

LUTHER'S secret weapon must be RAIN for three weeks steady!!  The last time Wartburg played the Norse it was ankle deep at Luther's midfield.  So......Norse plan to slow down the great Knight attack by water?  Could be as it has happened before.

Not enough time to muddy it up for the Simpson game however!
Secret Weapon rivals Cornell's Train!!!
Secret weapon electrifies Luther!!!

I suppose electricity and water could make for a shock for the visiting team.

Which is worse for the Loras followers, the gridiron school record loss to Central or the futbol loss to Luther?

Good win for Luther soccer.

Duhawk women's soccer looks like it is still rolling though.

Big game for the Norse Football this weekend, so I will take the soaked field option. :)

At least all that wind at the futbol game last night was powering the Luther campus.  I'm not sure the city would allow a turbine that big on the bluffs of Dubuque.

The football score is humiliating but the futbol loss to Luther last night was just a bad game by Loras.  Luther scored 2 goals with a heavy wind advantage in the 1st half  and Loras proceeded to outshoot them 26-10 after that.  Most of the time a couple of those shots find the back on the net, last night they didn't.   Loras also played without its mid-season All-American because of a broken nose.    Congrats to Luther on the conference championship, I would make a wager that the score in the conference tournament will be advantage Loras.

Can any Luther poster tell me why they would set up a webcam in the furthest corner of the soccer field?  Is it a lazy Norseman that doesn't want to turn the camera as often?  Not a good video stream production.

And Klompen likes Vern Den Herder...um, yeah...I don't know

Football stat...
Justin Spaulding 140 rushing attempts
Michael Zweifel 85 receptions

I thought the UD offense was built around Michael Zweifel???

IIAC football question.

My group of friends road tripped to two UD games vs. Upper Iowa...many, many years ago.  The 1st game was in Fayette, the 2nd game was at the UNI-Dome.

How many years did UIU play games at the Dome?  Did they play full home seasons there?  Or just 1 or 2 games?

You have been given the power to bring 1 former IIAC team back to the conference.  Who would it be?  And why...

With the upgrades Upper Iowa has and is still making to their campus and athletic facilities I guess I would like to welcome them back.  The football stadium renovations just quoted yesterday and it will be a nice facility when done.  They are not going to challenge UD for money spent but they are doing a good job.

I don't have an opinion on who to keep out.  :-X

An interesting and more telling addition to this would be how many times was Zweifel the target but it was an incompletion.

With WB having an off week I am trying to figure out if it would be worth my time to go to Mt Vernon to watch Cornell vs Central tomorrow?  I only live 30 minutes from Mt Vernon so it would be a short drive.
