UD leads Luther 24-0 at the half.  Michael Zweifel's 12th reception in the first half makes him the all time NCAA pass receiver.

Actually, there was a scoring error and he was credited with a reception on a backwards lateral earlier in the second quarter, which is a rush, not a reception.

They corrected the stats at halftime. His first catch of the third quarter was the record breaker.

Does Wartburg have an audio that is in sync with their video?
Our audio was behind the video, but now in front of it.
The live stats seems to be out of sync by a full possession.

My hats off to UD. Great video and audio feed.

Hard to keep up on the game with the video in and out, but I don't think it's helping us to have 4 turnovers??

Rams win!!! 19-17 over Loras.....Great game to watch..frustrating at times as I thought we made it a lot closer than it should have been (No disrespect to Loras). I'm sure it hurt Loras not having their senior QB but Cornell has and was playing without a few key players on defense as well. Regardless...a win is a win and I am happy for Cornell!

The Loras WR and RB...Kaiser and Kass are as good as any in the IIAC at their respective positions IMO. Too bad Kaiser is a senior but I believe the Kass is a Freshman. Loras has a very good RB for the next 3 years.

Lets take this win and build on it into next week for Luther!

Congratulations to Wartburg.

It was hard to keep up on the game and to see plays in detail, but
it appeared to me that there was some extra pushing/holding on Jeremy Snead?
Were the refs calling the same both ways? Was it a case of 'letting them play'? Not sure?  ???

I'll second that. Very impressive career!

I picked that up watching the game online.  How did it feel to be there for the record?

Congratulations to Wartburg on their win today.  They came to play a full game and deserved the win.  Congratulations also to Michael Zweifel on his career record, that is quite an accomplishment by every standard.  Rams win a conference game!  Congratulations on that accomplishment, whatever the circumstances.

Now to the Dutch.  Outstanding game by the Central defense today, at least half of the team came for the entire game.  Holding WB to 20 points when the Dutch have 4 first half fumbles, an interception and a blocked punt almost at the red zone line is good playing by my standards.  I suggest that when you get on the bus for the Simpson game you invite the offense to come along.  It only took the first Central offensive series to see that inconsistent offensive play was back on the field.  I think Old Dutch was right a few weeks ago when he said there was a chemistry problem on the team.  Against Loras and Cornell, Central did a good job of rotating the running backs and taking the pressure off of Snead, so why did the coaching staff decide today should be a Nate Snead day?  The guy is a stud athlete, but we could have mixed things up much better and made all the players feel more valued if we had faith in the entire offense and kept building on the progress the running backs have made in recent weeks.  Maybe the offensive chemistry problem will dissolve when the SE Polk contingent graduates.  Are the other players jealous, are the coaches inadvertently causing the problem?  If that is the case, it is really too bad.

Kevin Shelden continues to impress, even with one missed FG.  Even without breaking a big run today, I am looking forward to the future years with Josh Osborn.  The defense has really come together.  I hope that the offense can work things out.  It was a nice come back effort today, but the team that deserved the win got it, much as I wish it had been Central.  There is one more game left on the schedule.  Will the Dutch pack it in, or come together and play for pride.

With the inconsistency of this year's offensive play I hate to admit, but I am actually ready for football to be over.  Though I hope UD can finish strong and make some noise in the playoffs.

Briefly tuned into the Dubuque/Luther game while watching the Gophers beat Iowa.
Seems the Dubuque video cam should get off ground level.  Silly to watch helmets bobbing around instead of play development.  For all the $ I heard UD put into the football program and jumbotron perhaps they could get a better video view.......off ground level.

Congrats to Wartburg defense for a great game. The offense played well too,but it was the defense that made us one-dimensional.  The pass rush was unstoppable (or our blocking was AWOL) and they were fast to pursue the outside run game.

We have a conference championship game next week between dbq and Coe and Central needs to play well to stay in the third place tie.  Since it's Simpson I sure hope were safe but take nothing for granted, right Warty?

Congrats to MZ for an well deserved record.  No matter how much we complain about the number of attempts his way, every team knew he was getting the ball and he continued to make the plays.  His graduation day will be a welcome sight.  Good luck in the playoffs. (I will be picking Spartans. in that one.)

Probably not the best ever game played by either team in Waverly today, but for excitement it was worth the price of admission.  Just like Wartburg's games with Coe, Simpson and Dubuque this game for the taking by either team until the last second.

Sorry it was fall break this weekend at Wartburg.  A game like this deserved a bigger crowd.

I'm writing a little late because I watched the end of the Iowa State/Texas Tech game when we got home.  All the way home I listened to the radio as Hawkeye fans bitched and complained that the Hawks were so much better than Minnesota & Iowa State, but the Gophers and the Cyclones put all their effort into playing Iowa.  I was switching back and forth between the Hawk call in show and the Cyclone game.  I'm thinking, "Don't you people pay attention? The Cyclones are crushing the team that beat the #3 team in the nation last week."  Believe me Hawkeye fans, the Cyclones fans in your neighborhood would rather lose to Iowa and have an 8-3 record than to beat Iowa and have a 3-8 record.  I simply believe the Cyclones' schedule after the Iowa game is in most cases tougher than the Hawkeye's schedule.  Translation: From top to bottom the Big 12 has been tougher than the Big 10.  The loss of Nebraska and Texas A&M may change that.

OK Dubuque fans, the Knights have done their job to get you an unshared conference title.  Next week is up to the Spartans.
