Congratulations to the Spartans as they win the IIAC.  Go job and great season so far.  Keep it rolling for the final week  and good luck in the playoffs.  Is there room on the UD wagon for some support?

Great game today at K Ray field.

Dubuque definitely deserved to win, but I thought the Kohawks put up a hell of a fight.

Great to see a huge crowd for this one!

Good luck Spartans, let's hope for a home playoff game.

Kohawks, I hope you take this one out on the Rams next weekend.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Great game in Cedar Rapids today between Coe and Dubuque.  This was one of those rare games where you can say neither team deserved to lose.  Both offenses were rolling today with the defenses struggling.

I think I spotted coocoo in the 1st quarter.  There was a tall guy in an older looking Coe letterman jacket that kinda sorta resembled Eddie Vedders grandfather standing next to a Shrek looking dude decked out in UD gear. :P  I lost track of him before the 1st quarter ended before I could go down to the track and say hello.

Mrs Doolittle and I were able to chat with warthog after the game and recommend to the UD president that warthog be taken with the Spartans to all playoff games since UD is 2-0 this year in games he attended and was rooting for UD.

I'll talk later when my head is a little more clear!!!

Congrats to UD on a great regular season.  Seeing the footage on KCRG, it looked like Spartan fans filled up the visitor side.  I hope they get a hope game to start the play-offs in two weeks!

I've been hanging by hat on making contact with UD assistant coaches.  You go straight to the top.  I'll be sending my measurments on to UD so they can pass them on to the Dubuque Tent and Awning company.  I assume since you've filled in the Prez, I will now be in line for a complete UD wardrobe compliments of the Spartans.

I enjoyed watching the game with some UD parents and fans down in the tennis courts endzone.  They were nice people.

I got to congratulate Coaches Kyte and Olsen after the game.  They were as happy as four year olds with new Teddy Bears on Christmas morning.

Coe still has the best hotdogs in the IIAC.  I had a couple at the game just be sure the quality was up to standards.  It was.  I don't know what brand they use, but they sure are tasty.

Best of luck to the Spartans as they start down the playoffs trail.

A HUGE congrats to the UD Spartans, fans and Coach Z. and Co., on their IIAC Conference Championship!  Only took Coach Z three seasons and I, for one, am not at all surprised.  His success at UD and as a HC just puts a HUGE smile on my face!  Good luck to him and the program the rest of the way.   ;) :-*

I'm not counting any chickens before they hatch.  I just have question concerning playoffs.

Should the following happen:
1) Dubuque beat Coe and finishes 9-1 - Loss to Wartburg
2) Monmouth won Saturday and finishes 9-1  - Loss to Wartburg
3) Wartburg wins out and finishes 8-2 - Losses to Coe & Simpson

Is there any scenario in which you would see a second place IIAC team with an 8-2 record, that has beaten two AQs, sneak into the playoffs?
I think this is actually in the rule book. If you beat two teams that are AQs & you finish with two losses or less, you get an At-Large AQ. This is not very well known, In fact I don't even think the Committee knows about it.

Congrats Coach Z, his assistants, players and to all of you who have stood by the Spartans' side through thick and thin.  I had no doubt that they would get it done given a couple of years to put the pieces in place.  The Spartans are going to be a very competitive program in the IIAC for some time to come.  Good luck in the playoffs.

They are open until 5pm.  If you can't make that let me know exactly what you want and I can pick some up in the morning when I take my kids into school and can have it for you that evening.
