Not that it will make Wartburg fans feel any better, but BV just lost to the worst college football team in Iowa today in OT... :'(

Tough way to end the season for the Beavers.

Tough to figure this game out.  Luther beats Martin Luther 62-0  Then Martin Luther beats Waldorf 24-17  BV beats Luther in OT  Then Waldorf beats BV in OT

When one of the schools actually logs in and posts the score then we'll go with it. If Dubuque were so proud of its win perhaps it would take the initiative the way other schools do.

I know the SID was at the game but not sure why the scores didn't get to you sooner! No harm meant ;D

BV was down to their 3rd string RB due to injuries,  but it still shouldn't have mattered against Waldorf.  I can't figure this one out either... ???

Good luck to Central in the post season.  Represent the IIAC well!

Storm-what?

Wow ,big win for UD! Biggest suprise team of the season for sure!!!

Dissapointing game and season for SImpson. Shutout streak over! Central was tougher than I thought and Simpson couldn't finish up a drive at the goal line. Defense had to be worn out, they played most of the game! I have a feeling Central is on the road to another dynasty :(

Ash Park

Congrats to Dubuque.

Dissapointing loss for the Rams today. I seriously believed they were going to pull it off but some mistakes throughout the game and especially in the fourth quarter hurt. All B/S aside it looked like a rivalry game today or at least better than the past couple games. Both sides were fired up and there was some jawing back and forth, but above all what was nice to see was that Cornell stepped up and played hard all four quarters and I'm sure any Coe player will tell ya that . I really didn't think the officiating was that good but it never is I guess when you are on the losing side. Anyway, I have to tip my hat to Coe for the win. They made fewer mistakes and have the bodies.

I wouldn't mind seeing that 201 games without being shutout streak come to an end Saturday :) Then maybe the SID release can read...201 plus games without being shut out to any school not named Central!

You got your wish, DutchHawk.  ;D Congratulations to Central on an undefeated season. You're a fine representative for the playoffs.

Not that it matters, but I was 3-2 this week to end the season on a positive note. I did not anticipate victories by Dubuque and Waldorf. Who did?

Congratulations to the Kohawks for continuing their dominance of Cornell and getting Eric Raeburn his 50th win as head coach. Coe loses a fantastic group of seniors who have represented the program so well. Congratulations especially to Ashton Northern, who punished the Rams for 231 yards for his first 1,000 yard season.

Congrats on a HUGE win!! and great season!! 3rd place finish in the IIAC isn't too shabby.

I hate to rain on your parade, Willie U, but Dubuque finished in fourth place. Coe takes third by virtue of its head-to-head victory. Still, a nice turnaround for the Spartans. We'll see if they can keep it going minus Belleus.

I think the streak was important to Simpson.  When the field goal was blocked I think most coaches would have maybe gone for a TD even if it was 4th and 20.  They were down by 20.  If they would have been playing for the win they would have gone for it instead I think the choice was not to lay a goose egg.  I could be wrong but that was only one of 2 trips to the red zone with the first ending in a pick at the end of the first half.  Not that it matters I just didn't see the 3 as a winning play.  Maybe I am wrong here and all wet.

The West region is sure a mess now.  Reading other boards SJU may not get in.  I didn't see that coming.  There is a real battle for the 7 Pool C bids.  The criteria doesn't look good for SJU making it in either.  They don't have a win over a ranked team and the QoWI is the lowest for the Pool C bids.
