DF1: I don't remember having any run-ins with the Pella Po-Po...What are the plans for the weekend?  Will there be lots of Central alums/students/parents tailgating?  I just remember grilling and drinking with that fraternity near the field.  I will speak with OAS and see if he is making the trip.  Keep me posted.

I spoke with OAS last night -- he's a staunch Dutch supporter, by the way -- and he's not able to make the trip. I will, of course, be there will bells on. Knowing the BKE's, they will be there in full force, tailgating with the best of them. I won't make it to Pella until game day -- I'll be having bevys in Des Moines Friday night with my crew. When are you descending upon Iowa? (I need to know so that I can properly warn the officials this time!) Still wearing pink to every game?

DF1: Can we get a weather forecast for Saturday?  Also, have u met my good friend Kilted Rat?  He lives over by Drake U in Des Moines.  Yes I wear my pink sweater to all COLD games.  Might be hard to see on Saturday though, because my blood has thinned out and I will be bundled up with multiple coats/hats/gloves etc. to stay remotely warm.

Yeah, he wore a pick sweater last weekend, but the likes of TDT hadn't been seen in Collegeville since Labor Day prior to that.

A tradition unrivaled...

TT -- I have not had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of KR. I've noticed on the MIAC board that he spends a considerable amount of time complaining about Iowa -- obviously someone I want to hang out with.

I'm sure I'll run into you at the game. Watch out for rent-a-cops.....public intoxication, though your natural state, is something that is frowned upon in Pella. ;)

In addition to all the places to eat, a local favorite is the Pizza Ranch. I think they now start a buffet right after the games when at home. All you can eat pizza, broasted chicken, salad bar, ice cream, and deserts. I know it's been packed after all the home games.......no beer though, sorry Johnnies.

DutchFan2004

Missed the 6 PM news but yesterday the forecast was for 46 and sunny with a few clouds.  If the wind stays down that will be comfortable.  I did last week in a hoody and it was in the 40's in Pella.  Just depends on how much and how hard the wind is with that temp.

As for the rent a cops they won't hassle you to much I don't think as long as the beer cans are covered and you aren't making an A$$ of yourself.

As far as the Pickems go if you want we can still do them.  I will keep track of them.  You guys say we can do the West or the whole bracket I don't care. What ever the group wants to do.

Df1 Mrs Dutchfan would like to meet you as would I Do you tailgate?
