Agreed. Play-by-play guy and color guy were great. Congrats to Wartburg, tough team, tough game and good luck the rest of the way.

Great football game.  Had to be a fun game to play so kudos to the players on both teams.

I think I was right to say the other day the Knights got a VERY tough draw given their ranking in the region.  Wartburg's loss to Bethel last year seemed similar, trailed most of the game, had a chance at the end.

Not sure how often the Johnnies have played in Waverly, but glad it is there next week.

As some others have said, the video broadcast was quite good.

I have to agree today's Knight victory was a fun game to watch.  The box score numbers show things were fairly well balanced.

St. Thomas has a classy group of players, coaches, and fans.

Knights may need to practice what to do while defending 4th down attempts.  The Tommies were 7 for 7 in that category. Wow!

I hope the Knights can close out their MIAC portion of their schedule with a victory next weekend.

The Warthog clan is celebrating Thanksgiving at the home of Little Warthog and his family in Waverly. I hope they don't get too sick of us since we will be there from Wednesday until after the St. John's game on Saturday.  Yikes, relatives and fish both stink in three days.  I hope we are all still talking by the time we get to Walston-Hoover on Saturday.

Many folks were making a big deal of the Knights not getting a cupcake first round game.  We all should have had Coach Willis' attitude as presented on the campus television sports show when he was asked about the first round draw.  He kind of shrugged his shoulders, agreed it was a tough first round game, and then said, "We gotta play the good teams sometime."

Those UWW fans live for the "Ding." They are so p!$$&d off about not having their cannon for the playoffs, they substitute the "Ding" for the "Kaboom!" They are a surly sort.

Didn't make the game yesterday as I was committed to helping a friend with some concrete work.  Will be there Saturday for the 2nd round game however.

Congrats to Wartburg on a great victory over the Tommies!  Best of luck this Saturday against St. John's!  I have particular hatred of the Johnnies as they ended my 1999 and 2000 playoff runs by a combined 4 points and there's been a lot of shoulda, coulda, woulda conversations over the years with my Central teammates.  Leave no doubt Knights and know you've got the support of an entire conference and some old "has beens" behind you.  Go Knights and Go Dutch!

I'll agree DuffMan, luck or whatever it is, seems to favor the better teams and storied programs make their own breaks.  The 2 St. John's games I played in were some of the highest and lowest, most fun, yet most frustrating I ever played in.  Playing up in Collegeville was an experience I'll never forget.  The deer crap on the field was an added touch. ;D  Seeing the superfans processing down into the field blowing their horns and showing the spirit all college students should have made the experience exceptional.

LOL.  With the turf (installed in 2002) and a fence, that is no longer an issue!  Those were my freshman and sophomore seasons.  I wasn't a contributor at that point, but those were some hard-fought games.  I have no idea how we came out on top in 2000!  :o
