IIAC fact for the day:
Simpson avoided being shut out for 0 games in a row. A span of 1 game since a 23-0 beatdown applied by the Dutch. They are one of only a handful of NCAA teams that can say this right now. They have not scored a point since Nov 3, 2006.

;D WH, you must have just got a press release from the Simpson AD.  That, or you are dipping into the spiced egg nog at the company christmas party right now.  Or to be PC, I guess I should say "holiday party"

Office party is tomorrow. I can't claim originality on that. My buddy in PA brought it up on the phone yesterday.

Semi-Pro Football in the Cedar Valley area!

Im a former Coe football player that currently plays semi-pro football for the Cedar Valley Vikings. We are a team that is located in Cedar Falls. We play in the NAFL and Mid States conference. We are coming off a very successful season in which we reached the quarterfinals of the NAFL2 playoffs. Several of our players played in the NAFL All-Star weekend in Orlando at the Disney World Wide Sports Complex. And many of those same guys will be playing in the Casino Bowl out in Las vegas in march. Our home game in the past have been located at the UNI- Dome but we think this season that we may play our home games at Wartburg. Our season starts at the end of May and with a championship run can end in November. Coming from a good D3 program I know what talent lies in the Iowa Conference. With all this said we are missing a few players here and there on our team and we are trying to find these players for a championship run next year. We start workouts at the UNI dome in Jan. and our looking for guys interested in playing for the Vikings. Anyone interested can check out our website at www.cvvikings.com or send an email to me at meek04@yahoo.com. We would like to get as many quality athletes as possible to fill out our 60 man roster and I know there maybe a few guys from the iowa conference interested. We would really like guys that have used up there college eligibility though. Anyone is welcome. Thanks

I'd love to but I'd go broke paying for all the tape I'd need to keep the body together. :-\
THIS IS...OUR HOUSE!  WHOSE HOUSE?!...OUR HOUSE!  WE RULE....OUR HOUSE!!

I'd love to play again, and as long as I don't have to go through offseason workouts with Morrison or Dettwiler, I may think about joing the team down here in DM.
That may make the cracks and squeaks that come from my ankles and knees go away for a little while longer.

Probably wont get  a chance to post for a few days, so Merry Christmas to everyone, even the Luther fans.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone.  Stay safe.

An Iowan in a small Texas town around Christmas time, saw a "Nativity Scene" that showed great skill and talent had gone into creating it. But one small feature was all wrong: the three wise men were wearing firemen's helmets.

Totally unable to come up with a reason or explanation, he left. At a "Quik Stop" on the edge of town, he asked the lady behind the counter about the helmets.

She exploded into a rage, yelling, "You darn Yankees never read your Bibles!"

The Outsider assured her that he did, but simply couldn't recall anything about firemen in the Bible.

She jerked her Bible from behind the counter and riffled through some pages, and finall jabbed her finger at a passage. Sticking it in the guys face she said, "See, it says right here, 'The three wise men came from afar.'

Merry Christmas, everyone. :)

Dutchfan1 sure classes this place up, and keeps us all in stitches. She's got my vote for poster of the year. Merry Christmas all.
4 IIAC football championships
8 NCAA football playoff appearances
13 straight wins over Cornell in the oldest football rivalry west of the Mississippi

I didn't hear any prancing hoofs on my roof, or any ho ho ho's downstairs.  But when I checked a few minutes ago.  I saw that Santa had left presents for the little ones under the tree, and the milk and cookies had dissapeared.  If he  hasn't already, he should be making it to everyone around here pretty soon.

Merry Christmas everyone.  And to all, a good night.  I am beat.

Merry Christmas to everyone on the IIAC board

Predictions for 2007 anyone?
Cornell starts the year 2-0 to end it 2-8
BV and Loras combine to form a MEGA school that goes 5-5 next year
10 more Central fans join the discussion here and their names are Dutchfan2, Dutchfan3, Dutchfan4, Dutchfan5, Dutchfan6, Dutchfan7, Dutchfan8, Dutchfan9, Dutchfan10, and Dutchfan2007
There will be one coaching change in the IIAC after 2007
Simpson gets 4 more D1 dropout QB's and extends there games being shut out streak to 2.
Things are back to normal in Dubuque, although I give them 2 conf wins in '07
Coe has to move their home games to Kinnick after an early season rainstorm turns the field to a mud bowl and a late season drought turns it to cement. You thought 1500 fans made that place look empty wait until you see 1500 fans elbow to elbo in Kinnick.
Wartburg's new facility is awesome and by the end of 2007 another school will have plan that will be better than it.
We will all have fun on here regardless of our team's records. ALthough some more than others.

Ok, here are some predictions of WH's predictions

Cornell starts the year 2-0 and finishes 2-8 promting many on here to say.  "It's deja vu all over again"

BV and Loras talk about combining before Loras realizes BV isn't a Catholic school.  Then Loras tries to convince St. Ambrose and Notre Dame into joining them in forming  the All Catholic Conference...or the ACC for short.  Notre Dame politely declines the offer. BV and Loras of course both go 5-5 on the season.

10 more Central fans will join the group with those names.  But at least 3 will leave the board after receiving negative karma!!!

WH will know who the coaching change will be...but tell no one :D

Simpson does get 4 D1 dropout QB's...but all will end up starting in other field positions.  1 will make all conference on special teams.  Their SID pm's all on here regarding their shutout streak.

Things definately go back to normal in Dubuque with 3 of their first 4 conference games on the road.  Dubuque fans on this board will claim they may have a lousy team, but at least they now have the best stadium in the conference, thereby starting a flame war on here with Wartburg and other fans.   :D

Coe moves stadiums...but only a little south to Kingston stadium.  They then carry on the flame war and claim their new stadium is in fact better than Wartburgs and Dubuque's.

WH is correct and Wartburgs new facility is awesome.  He will also know beforehand which IIAC school is planning to build a better facility...he will tell no one.

And of course we will all have a good time on here.  No matter what our favorite schools record ends up being.
