And furthermore, the Accuweather forecast is for the high temperature to be eleven degrees warmer in Pella than in Whitewater.  After we have all sat out in the Wisconsin cold for a couple of hours, I won't be the only one wishing the game was in Pella.

It could be -10 out, and not a single Whitewater fan (or player) will wish the game was in Pella. Maybe people in Iowa are a little softer.  ;)

The Hawks have played through it all over the years in December. They're built for this weather.

It's only gonna be 39 and a little windy, that's not bad at all.

+19 seems a little much, even with their bloated 174th ranked SOS.

Hansen Ratings has then at +6, which seems a little more accurate to me.

I could be wrong, I'm always under estimating my Hawks. But we'll see.
If they added the last two games and re-figured strength of schedule and then re-ranked the bracket, the Warhawks would probably get a trip to Pella.

Strongly disagreed to that hypothetical. Hansen Ratings keeps track of SOS to-date, and it still isn't close.

Not that any of that really matters. I Just found it interesting
How about this then.  Throw out each teams' first two games and replace them with the last two.  Then who travels?
Or we could just play paper, scissors, rock. Two out of three.
Paper, scissors, pound the rock?

Ha ha. There you go! They're going to be playing Pound the Rock Saturday whether they like it or not.

Seems the most fair way to determine who hosts.  A full 10 games of it.

I noticed that too! Like you said, not very hospitable.  ;D

And thrilled to be doing so. Some of us don't take the privilege for granted.

Central pregame write up is out:

Sounds like Knaack is out, but Wagner could be back for the game. Hopp, no pun intended, is like the energizer bunny. He takes a licking and keeps on ticking. If you only want to read about what Whitewater brings to the table you can read their release, though Central's probably lays that out better as well. Great job by Larry Happel as always.

As of this morning, the weather for Saturday in Whitewater is projected to be a balmy 40 degrees with wind of only 5-10 miles per hour. This is much lower wind than normal for the Perk. If it holds it looks like a beautiful December day for football!

So your saying I can get by with only four layers?

If you are prone to being chilled, you might want 5 on top, two on legs, and three on feet:

My 40 degree strategy is:

Under armor long sleeve t-shirt
Regular t shirt
Long sleeve t-shirt
Hoodie
Winter Coat

Long underwear
Decently warm pants

Two pairs of socks
shoes.

Hat and gloves available if needed.

I consider 40 even as if it's the 30's.  I like lots of layers because I can always take one off if too warm!

That's all I got, lol.

My goodness....what in the world do you wear when it's actually cold?!  That's an impressive list for 40 degrees!   :D

These are really well done write ups. I think it's a near lock that Hawkins breaks B. Elliot's record on Saturday for TD passes. I'd like to see a list that included all of college football. Solsma at Morningside had 72 TD's + 5,391 yds back in 2018. Niles the WR had over 2,500 yds receiving as well.

Also, I'm shocked that Schminke and Hopp are able to play this week after those injuries on the last drive  ;)
