WH- Yeah, but your d-coordinator got "hitched" last month, so if the defensive stats slip, you can blame it on marriage  ;)

How is it always the woman's fault?  ;)

Actually I assume that now he's married he'll spend a lot less time at home and a lot more time at the office.

Sorry Dutchhawk-Little Inside conversation between myself and The Show. Talking HS football.
We both coach and one of his friends from college is our DC at Dowling.

I missed the wedding in June for a fishing trip. Sounds like it was fun. I did make it to the bachelor party though and got to see a bunch of BV boys since we somehow met up with another group of Beavers out for your old Center's bachelor party that night as well.

Sorry about that! I should probably read back more when I cant get on as much but I was pressed for time.

My wife would agree with that statement...

Walston, How is the camp going.  Are you surviving with all the red?  Hope they are treating you well there.

Actually will get there at noon tomorrow. I grew up red so the color doesn't bother me. Its trying to play football in wooden shoes that I think is going to get to our guys.
As long as they don't yell and swear at my guys and try to change everything that we've been working with them on all summer just 1 week before our own camp, then it won't be any worse than Upper Iowa's team camp last year. How's the Central Market? Pretty good food?

Ya the food is ok.  They have the typical college food.  Lots of pasta, pizza, and a good salad bar.  I have never gone away hungry from there.

I thought that they took off there wooden shoes for practice.  They save that for the games silly!!!!!!!! :D

Speaking of Central, a quick note to Dutch fans:  You'll have to deal with a new wolf in sheep's clothing.  I've accepted a job in Pella and will be moving in a week-10 days.  Looks like I'll be renting a house about a block or two from campus and about 4 blocks from the Town Square.
I'll be working for KNIA/KRLS Radio, selling ads and doing sports reporting/play-by-play.  I'll handle the pbp duties on Pella and Pella Christian games, but still no work on what my involvement will be with the Central football broadcasts, but I will be doing some Dutch basketball during the winter.
Needless to say, its going to be quite strange to be living in Pella and calling Central games as a proud Wartburg alum.  That said, I've rarely let personal loyalties effect my on-air work and I don't see that changing anytime soon.  But Nov. 10 is gonna be tough.

Congrats on the new job, Sportsknight! Honestly, there are quite a few Wartburg alum in the Pella area, so you won't be too out of place. Oh, just be careful where you decide to "be Orange"....red is the local color of choice. :)

Congrats Sportsknight.  There are all sorts of changes in loyalties.  Look at Dan McCarney.  I think that it may be easier than you think to get used to the red.  I think Pete Taylor the voice of the Cyclones was a former Hawkeye too.  So it can happen.

What he's saying is.... come to the dark side, Sportsknight.  ;)

I always kind of looked at us as the good ones the real meaning of the force the guys in the white hats that sort of thing.  I am sure that the others however have looked at the Dutch as the darkside.

Would it be out of line to suggest that only a Wartburg grad is able to communicate to the masses?
