Is this an evil empire stab at Wartburg?  Thats the only thing I get from it.

Sounds like that guy's mom's basement doesn't have AC.  Heat must be getting to him.

I'm shocked someone associated with Wartburg couldnt sift through the literary symbolism.  What they don't teach this stuff in football class? Knightlife, if this happens again just call the first available person with a cornell degree, in return just let them know how to win in the IIAC.  :D

I think its a stunning metaphor and commentary on the position of the evil empire of Wartburg (the Dark Side), the transfer of Suckow (Anakin turning to the Dark Side), and the fall of Coe (the Republic, jedi order, etc...)

If thats not right than I have no clue either and will insert foot into mouth

Come on guys, I've never seen the whole Star Wars movie and I knew what he was getting at.

Wow! I started to look at his comaprisons and analogies, but then I got a headache.

And major congrats to you,Walston. Keep up the good fight. And when you're done come up here and kick me in the butt to do the same!

Amazing it only took 2 weeks for someone to come up with a Star Warz posting about the whole Coe-Suckow-Wartburg matter.

On another matter- Grandview football. I took HS SR. Miss Neumann on college visit to GV and they are really pumped about getting football next season. Any guesses on how long til they are .500 or will play an IIAC team?

Walston - Congrats and keep @ it. Put me down for  a kick in the pants after fbdaddy.
Aaron Kampman on Coach Ed Thomas
I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

Grandview playing an IIAC team.  I think it will be a lower level team that plays them if any.  With the QOWI the teams playing for a playoff spot won't put Grandview on the schedule as that may hurt their chances at a playoff spot.

I give them 3 years to get to .500. Woodley is a good coach and will pull some good recruits in from his ties in Texas. I doubt Grand View having football will impact the IIAC much, although I was wrong, once, and that was when I thought I was wrong but I wasn't.

All you had to do was reference Chewbacca (sp?) and I would have known what you were talking about.  Sorry, never really got into the whole Star Wars deal except when my LB coach said that a move I made in a game reminded him of a Jedi mind trick, whatever that means.

Fred Jackson looked awfully good in scoring the Bills' only touchdown tonight in a 13-10 pre-season victory at New Orleans. He led his team in carries (8), rushing yards (49), touchdowns (1), longest run (17 yards), while also catching two passes for 19 yards. He may just have earned himself a roster spot with this performance. Good thing he didn't throw it all away by transfering before his senior year.

Here's a couple paragraph's about Freddy from the NFL.com story on the game.

QuoteBills top draft pick Marshawn Lynch had a quiet pro debut, carrying the ball only twice for 3 yards. Second-year reserve running back Fred Jackson ran for 49 yards and scored the Bills' only touchdown on a tackle-breaking 17-yard run that he capped by diving over the goal line.

"You have to know your opportunities are going to be limited," Jackson said, noting that he kept the ball for his 10-month old son. "It was exciting. Our offensive line did a great job, the receivers did a great job blocking and I just hit the holes."
