Not to mention that it would have been tampering if Koehler had talked to him about it.
Bingo.  If anything "untoward" happened around that construction crew this summer, I doubt Coe would have wasted much time filing a complaint with the NCAA.  I'm not going to claim to know Coach Koehler better than anyone else here, but I do know the man better than some and I can tell you that he is a stand up guy that wouldn't stoop to that level to try to improve his team (and risk NCAA infractions in the process).  Just because Suckow worked on that particular site doesn't mean anything underhanded happened.  Same way a former Coe basketball coach didn't make any suggestions to a former Wartburg player that helped paint his house a couple summers back.  I guess if that player had transferred, some of the Coe faithful around here would be a bit more cautious before tossing around accusations.

As far as the topic suggestions Warthog threw out there, I'll leave them all be except for the one about Simpson.  I only knew that to be half true (the half about the subpar football squad).  I'd rank them middle of the road in the hottie dept.

The Show

Helped move in up in Storm Lake on Saturday...I think BV will be just fine.

On a side note, that new water park/resort that they built up there looks pretty sweet.  Not sure if visiting teams will stay there or not?

As far as the recruiting question, I think over-recruiting can be more of a problem sometimes...

In reference to #6;soccer lines have ruined many a football field. In the immortal words of Kerry Van Winkle: "soccer is a communist sport". ;D

Ok I am crossing over boards.

Oles versus Luther. September 1 in Northfield MN. Is Luther going to stop thinking about that comeback by the oles and get their head in THIS years game.

Also I was really happy when Luther cut out that standing DE stuff. Just to easy for the O-line to get under the pads

Maybe it was topic #6 that cause Suckow to transfer. Coe will have soccer lines on it's NEW field and the W. Hoover ONLY has FOOTBALL lines.

Same at Central.  There are only football lines on the field.  There are only college football lines at Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium.

Communist Valley Stadium also has soccer lines.

You come to Wartburg to play for championships

I see that the Central Hope game starts at 7:00 p.m.  Of course I suspect it is a devious plot by Hope to somehow improve upon the home field advantage.  I checked out the rest of the IIAC schedule and I see there is only one other night game.  When Cornell plays at Simpson they start at 6:00 p.m.  I can kind of see a 7:00 p.m. start early in September when it might still be a little warm and maybe there is some thought attendance might be better at a night game in Midwest prime time.  Can anyone explain a 6:00 p.m. kick-off in late October in Indianola other than Indianola looks better in dim light?

Simpson football is playing later in the day because they play in the soccer stadium and the Storm Women + men have matches @ 12 + 2pm.

I guess that shows where f-ball sits on the ladder @ SC

Show- I can't imagine schools paying the hotel prices I heard they were going to charge at that place. We actually stayed in Carroll both years when we played at BV when I was at Simpson. Good ol' Super 8, man J Dubs was cheap. Do any teams actually stay in Storm Lake?

OUCH! that hurts Walston ;D I sure am glad my skin is thicker than some on here! :D
