Ok had some extra time today so I will post the lineup for the pickems as it is on the IIAC website.

Bethel @ BV

ST Thomas @ Central

Illinois Westleyan @ Coe

Cornell @ Northwestern MN

UD @ Rockford

Loras @ Upper IA

Luther @ St Olaf

Concordia WI @ Simpson

Wartburg @ Monmouth

Ok here is the line up.  Now here is the question who has the best opponent.  (meaning who is the storngest and has the best shot at the playoffs)  Rank from 1-9 if you would like just curious in the thoughts of the strength of schedule from all the posters.

Play with Passion  Coach Ron Schipper

Ash Park

Some of the opponents I do not know much about but I'll give it a shot anyway.

1. Bethel
2. St. Olaf
3. St. Thomas
4. Concordia Wisc
5. Upper Iowa
6. Monmouth
7. Illinois Wesleyan
8. Northwestern MN
9. Rockford

Again I didn't do any research into this so I could be wrong but just at first glance that is how I would rank them.

DutchHawk

Bethel
St Thomas
St Olaf
Concordia
Upper Iowa
Illinois Wesleyan
Monmouth
Rockford
Northwestern

I really dont have much of any idea after Concordia so who knows!
30 IIAC Championships
20 Division III Playoff Appearances

Ash Park

All I knew was that Northwestern beat Rockford last year and St. Olaf beat St. Thomas so I was just going by who won between those two games.

I think that Pease's numbers were very good for someone that was a first time starter.  I have heard that about Grimm as well.  Kemmerer is the cream of the crop as far as returning kickers go in the IIAC.

Kemmerer won't be returning to the BV football team, his 4 years are up.  But I do agree he was a great kicker, I guess it helps when you have a NFL caliber kicker working with you everyday  :)
My picks will be coming.

Ok,

I will keep track of the Pickems this season.  I see that the majority of people opt for the season of pickems. So we will start with week 1 and I will keep track of the pickems like last year.  I will try to post the schedule on Monday some time and then by noon central time the picks will be due.  If the post is time stamped later than it will not count to the championship race.  I will post the results sometime Sunday.  So if you want to join in please do.  All are welcome to participate.  Can't wait to see the teams in action.  Loras' loss may not be so bad.  After the performance last year at Central maybe Loras will hang on to the ball better without Mccaron.

Hey,
Do you know about the Pick 'Em boards under General Football?

I'm not sure there's a big benefit to hosting IIAC pick 'em over there as opposed to here, but you might want to check it out. Perhaps some outsiders can join, perhaps it's easier to find the posts on a separate board because they are pick 'ems and pick 'ems only (that way you don't have to scroll through 8 pages to tally the past week)

But you might also like it here so all the posters see the picks as reminders to get theirs in, etc.

You the man, it's your call to move it there or keep it here, just thought I'd bring it up.

Just over 8 days until 2007 IIAC Football kicks off.

Does every IIAC school allow (or tolerate) tailgating?  I'm not necessarily talking about keggers or a full service bar, though the thought is kinda fun.  Just folks hangin' out enjoying a beverage, concealed in plastic cups if needed...

Do any schools crack down on such things?

Motorhome accessablility?

Which schools have the biggest/best tailgating?

Although I've rarely been a part of it due to gameday responsibilities, I've been told Wartburg is the tailgating capital of the IIAC. Every other place I've been to the tailgates were fine, but that was when Wartburg was playing there.
Every Wartburg tailgate has alcohol (There's beer served in the fieldhouse for the homecoming after game party) There are RV's, big screen TV's, and more orange vehicles than you would know what to do with. Warthog is the Dean of IIAC Tailgaters so he would be a good one to get input from.
A nice thing about TG at Wartburg is you are right behind the stadium. I don't know if that will change with the new PEC or not.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

Looks like Wartburg and Dubuque are the only schools without their rosters online yet.

Not sure what to make of that...

Im not sure why Wartburg keeps being credited with the stingiest defense in the league last year? Anyone care to clear up where this comes from in the stats?

Dubuque took the time to put this years team photo on the roster page...just didn't take the time to update the roster...maybe they are waiting to add a last minute Coe transfer...just kidding

An Channel 9 here reported Coe had won 3 of the last 4 conference titles...no one checks facts anymore.
