The question about Cornell giving the hardest test,

one comment on last year.  The game was close till after the score was 7-7 and then Cornell barely had any yards at all after that.  To say it was a close game for 1.5 quarters is not an arguement you want to make since a game is 4 quarters.  Cornell did have a great opening drive but faltered after that.  This year I have no idea how they will do against the three teams.  My guess would be Coe but only for the reason that it is thier big rival game.  The will need a huge effort to beat any of those teams.

Good luck to all the IIAC teams.

Benton Comm???
What about the Dowling love??

There is a 'Hurricane' blowing through Benton Community and I gotta give a shout out to an old college roomie.  Good luck to Dowling as well....I have never seen them in action, but I'm sure the hogs up front are solid thanks to your expertise.

Any other high school coaches out there who post on here?  I would love to get back on the field (to play or coach) but my Friday nights are spent driving around the rural country side from high school to high school getting highlights for the news.

Looks like I will be spending my Saturday watching the Irish on NBC while listening to the Knights online.  What a great time of year!

Good luck and good health to all IIAC teams...except a little less luck when you play Cornell.

I'll be curious to see how this video link for Monmouth works. So far the video quality is VERY good. This is definitely something the IIAC needs to look at.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

End of the 1st quarter Dubuque 0-0 Rockford

Dubuque is inside the Rockford 5 yard line after starting inside their own 5 yard line.

And Dubuque goes up 7-0 on the 2nd play of the 2nd quarter.

The Show

Scoreless at the end of the 1st Quarter in Storm Lake.

BV's Defense is TOUGH.  Been put in bad situations, but have held so far.

I know, not IIAC, but...

Mount Union 72
Averett 0

Rockford misses a 22 yd FG attempt.  Edrick Primm breaks off a 50+ yd TD run to go up 14-0 over Rockford.  7:something left in the 1st half.

So that would be 2, 90+ yd td drives for Dubuque.

MNbeev

BV is holding Bethel scoreless despite Bethel being inside the 30, 4 + times.  The D is tough and the O is struggling...great game in Storm Lake!

5 to go till half!
