Luther lowes 26-19 I believe, according to the St. Olaf website.

On a more interesting not;

www.jsonline.com/packer

"The Packers will be watching closely to see if two free agents, Freddie Jackson of Buffalo and Pierre Thomas of New Orleans, are released. One personnel man said Jackson, who played at Coe College, was considerably better than Wynn. Thomas finished exhibition play with 198 yards, a 5.8-yard average and three touchdowns."

BUENA VISTA DEFEATS BETHEL U 24 - 16!!!

# 24 GONZO

BV played tough D all day and it showed...O Stepped it up a little in the 2nd half but they need a little more for conference play.  They are looking like the real deal.  GREAT WIN TODAY!

Also great job to Central, Wartburg, and whoever won today....Still pumped about the win.

WartTrainer

Went to the simpson game cause little bro plays....big win for the storm  14-3...defense looked really good all game offense was so so.....way to go Knights!!

Charlie Kohawk

Huge game by Tommy Breitbach and the Coe defense this afternoon as the Kohawks christened their new field with a 24-6 victory over Illinois Wesleyan. Breitbach scored on a 51-yard punt return and a 92-yard interception return.
4 IIAC football championships
8 NCAA football playoff appearances
13 straight wins over Cornell in the oldest football rivalry west of the Mississippi

Purple Heys

Cornell over Northwestern  31-30

Cornell blocks potential game tying extra point with 51 seconds.

Cornell squanders leads of 28-14 and 31-21.

Not impressive...but its a "W"!
You can't leave me....all the plants will die.

Purple Heys

You can't leave me....all the plants will die.

Walston Hoover

Wartburg ran 83 offensive plays for 522 yards. WOW!
If it wouldn't have been for 4 TO's (2 fumbled snaps and 2 picks, 1 was Yordi's fault, 1 wasn't) That game would have been a lot better for the Knights.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

DutchHawk

Central blows out St. Thomas 35-10. Fumble return for a td, INT return by doud 85 yards for a td, blocked punt for a td, dominating day for the Dutch D didnt give the first team offense much time to show off. Put an 80 yard drive together but had a short field a lot of the day. Schuring sat out a lot of the game, over a half with a bum ankle but didnt look too terrible. Connel and Huisman had respectable openers. The defense looked stifling. Most of the Tommies yards were against the 2nd and 3rd teamers as well as their only TD came against the backups. Go Dutch!
30 IIAC Championships
20 Division III Playoff Appearances

Way to Go BV and Simpson,  you proved me wrong.  A good day overall for the IIAC wish Luther and would have come up and beat the Oles as well.

Ouch  just got the press release from Central.  The Dutch got out gained 350-157 in yardage.  But I guess when the defense puts a 130 yards on turnovers it does balance things out.

Hey Walston, tell us all about the TV thing the midwest conference has.  It sounded like you loved it.  Did they have multiple cameras?  Announcers?  Just curious.

DutchFan2004 had an interesting stat about the Dutch getting outgained by almost double.

Here is my interesting stat.  Dubuque wins 38-0 yet had 13 penalties for 197 yards!!!

The winning part is new for Dubuque, the penalty part is not.

DutchFan2004

The release was incomplete  378-178 was the final yardage.  Still not good but with two turnovers for scores and a blocked punt for 6 the Offense didn't see a lot of action.  The starters were down in 3 quarters.

Big news out of Cedar Rapids....Freddy Jackson survived the final cut and is officially a member of the Buffalo Bills!!!
