It's just a guess.  I could be completely wrong.  I have not seen Luther or BV play, so it is completely a guess.  Hopefully no one takes these things too serious.

Good luck Luther.

interesting approach Pakk,

you haven't seen BV but yet they wallup the 3 time defending conference champs, must be looking for two horse race with COE and BV.  Cant wait until tomorrow to find out the outcomes.  I wouldn't bet against the knights this week.  They win by atleast 10
Central over Simpson, don't know much about the dutch pass defense, that will make the difference
loras over cornell, could be close and low scoring
coe and luther no prediction.  attitudes of both teams say they expect to win, games comes down to special teams and  is a tight battle the whole game.

good luck to all

My Picks:

Wartburg -- Puts up just as many yards, but without the mistakes.
Loras
Central
Coe -- Gotta pick the Kohawks in the game of the week.

The Show

Looks like the weather is going to be perfect today for IIAC football!

Too bad I'll only be listening to the radio... :(

Coe downs Luther 14-10.  Stats seem to indicate a great game!  Looks like Nate Rolland  had a tough day against the Coe D...any thoughts from anyone at the game??? (unbiased preferably, but I'll take any) :)

Charlie Kohawk

Another gutsy performance by the Kohawks, who overcame four turnovers to down Luther 14-10 on Homecoming. Coe's offense still seems to be coming together -- I think the unit's best games are still ahead of them. Meanwhile, the defense is playing hard-nosed Kohawk football.

Luther and Coe,
Two good defenses, great game to watch.  Good to see Coe hall of famer Carey Bender, he was impressed by Sukow, except for when Neil got dragged down at the twenty late in the fourth.  I think Bender's records are safe.  Way to go Kohawks, that was a great homecoming game!
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

any word on the loras game, let me know, thanks
Ok Ok ok lets just take this one foot at a time.....

I looked at the box scores today and saw only one quarterback (TeKippe) with passing stats for Coe in the Central and Luther games. Is the team still rotating three guys like everyone says or did this controversy end a few weeks ago?

Charlie Kohawk

Enough of the Coe quarterback rotation already! Andy TeKippe has taken every snap for Coe since the second half of the St. Thomas game. The job is his.

Meanwhile, gee it was nice to see Neil Suckow running to daylight today.

It was nice to see how the Knights fare when they play mistake-free football today.
I think the yardage disparity at halftime was 280-57 or something like that. No Hammes for Wartburg, the other backs picked up the slack.
I think the biggest play of the game was in the first quarter when Pearson had a 70 yard run down to the 2 that was called back due to illegal formation. If BV lines up right we may be talking about a totally different game.
Pearson held to 60-some yards and the box score says Schmidt had 1 catch for 4 yards. I thought he had more, but if that's true its awesome.
Hoskins had one of the best games he's had in quite some time. If BV blitzed he was busy throwing short passes and screens and when they didn't he sat back and ate a steak before he picked them apart.
Van Rees is getting closer and closer to the type of back we need. He's certainly got the speed to get the job done, but he sometimes puts his head down and runs to get the short gain when the cutback lane is wide open. He also lacks the ability to step through the first tackle like previous Wartburg backs have been so good at. He doesn't quite have the balance yet, but I think more and more carries with Hammes out will turn him into a pretty good back.
Show-What did your bro have to say about the game?
Coe helped us out yesterday, now time to show the Spartans what;s up.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships
