You come to Wartburg to play for championships

I don't think that there is a d-back in the league that can keep up with McMahon if he gets by them...which means the Loras QB needs to look for him, and good things will happen.

DutchFan1 is cool. 8)  Between her and Vern DenHerder, I think I could almost become a Central fan. :D

Wow -- high praise coming today from both a Coe and Wartburg fan. Boys, I'm flattered. :)

I agree with Charlie Kohawk in saying that I am glad we have so many new posters on the board. You guys present a different viewpoint than some of us "old timers" bring, and it's refreshing. We don't always have to agree, but we each bring something different to the table that is worth respecting. D3 football fans are truly the best in the nation!

Go Central!
A pessimist is a man who feels that all women are bad. An optimist hopes so.

War Pig

Iowagrad, I'll put my money on the Staker kid from Coe to shut down the Loras guy when they play each other.  I was glad to see Loras finally put some points on the board.
Money talks and bull$hit walks.

I completely agree with war pig. If anybody can shut down McMahon, its Staker. I've been very impressed with the Coe senior this season. The kid is a very disciplined player.

Overseas Observer

Looked like there were some good games in the IIAC this past weekend. As much as it pains me to be wrong, hats off to the Kohawks. I can't wait to see how this conference race is going to play out.
Picks this week:
I couldn't believe it but I was on a bike ride and I saw a beaver EATING a kohawk (who knew there were Kohawks or beavers in Japan), I am taking this as a sign as BV beats coe by 3.
Knights by 24 over UD, sorry UD but I want you to save your conference win for Coe
Central by 13
Finally
There was a typhoon aka "storm" that was suppose to happen this week but it didn't hit the main land. Another sign Norse by 7 over the storm.
Go NORSE

Overseas Observer,
Could you explain you're encounter with the beaver eating the Kohawk on your bike ride, I've never seen a Kohawk in the wild.  Might you have imbibed a little too much saki before getting on your bicycle.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Is this guy injured or why is he not even in the top 10 recievers in the conference? If he's been playing he's obviously been shut down.
One of the funniest things I've seen in quite some time was the Knights fan (a certain quarterback's father) who showed up to the game last week in a Knights outfit with beaver pelts attached to his belt.

Reason McMahon isn't in the top top 10 for anything is the reason I stated before. There timing was way off in the B.V./Central games. At least 3 times that I can remember against B.V. he was well behind the defense and got overshot. Central game was a combination of bad timing, slipping receivers, good defense, and weather. Neither team could pass in that game with the exception of Central's last touchdown, which was blown coverage. Barring injury, he'll be fine.

As soon as Jankovich and McMahon start getting in a rhythm...look out.

NorseFan

So until he starts burning all the DB's in the conference and catching balls he really hasn't done anything impressive yet?  Potential is always good.

yup

Right Norsefan, he only scored like 4 TD's (duhawkfan help here) in the state title game last year. Which they won 41-0. He's also starting as a freshman in the IIAC as a freshman, right he hasn't done anything impressive yet.
