I heard a rumor that Roscoe's in Decorah are thinking of painting the inside of the bar orange and black...any Luther fans know if this is true or not?

Wow catching up with the board and I missed out, but I do believe tomorrow is saturday and well enough about homosexuals, hall of fames, transfers, cornell/central rival , and get to what this board is about.  Yes I know that off-field topics do have some importance, but, when the same subject is brought up for 15 pages it gets old.  
Here we go...I know I picked Coe to beat Luther, but I was hesitant because Luther could win also...  Lets go with that.

Here's my take on the Yordi situation ... first of all, probably not the best comment to make, but hey from what I've heard it was something that was said one time and yelled out a window not knowing who was walking by.  If that is true, then I find these charges ridiculous.  He is at a private university where all students pay and choose to go to.  If being called a name is the worst thing that ever happens to this student, then he truly lives a blessed life.  I am not condoning what was said by Mr. Yordi, but to be taken to court over a remark yelled out a window on a private university seems to be taking things way over the line to me.  

Whether it was done on a private university or college campus doesn't mean squat! And the fact of the matter is it must have been more serious then just calling someone a "name" to get the law involved. If it was an african american or a jewish person and he yelled a racial slur, it would have been all over the news and wartburg would be getting some serious bad press. He is in the spotlight as the starting QB on a contender, he should also start acting like it. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone deserves 2nd chances in my opinion but don't throw some BS about he can do what he wants because "it's a private college". Come on. Someday when you are a father you will think differently if it was your own son or daughter. Sure, I personally think someone should have thicker skin when it comes to being called names but who is to say the situation hadn't been ongoing or more was done? You don't know and only the 2 directly involved--Yordi and the student---will ever really know.

By the way, you CHOOSE to PAY AND GO TO ANY COLLEGE, not just private ones.

Who cares what color the walls are in Roscoes...its always dark in there anyways  

And you make these comments about Luther and its homosexual population, but apparently there is a decent amount of gay students and support at Wartburg, as Yordi is finding out...

Playoffs start tonight for Dowling. Win and in, lose and go home.
My sophs have a chance to finish the year undefeated and the frosh capped their perfect season last night. Future looks bright.

As a card carying member of AARP, Half-century Club, and The Old Folks dancing Revue....one thing that you learn is that stupid desicions and/or comments have a way of coming around and biting your left butt cheek...sooner or later.  The question you have to ask yourself is "Can my saggy old left butt cheek take anymore?"  Of course when you are young your answer is yes.  To quote a rather rotund bit part character from "It's a Wonderful Life,"  "Youth is wasted on the wrong people."

I would agree.I can't think of any other single player who has had a more direct effect on his team's record.
