Playoffs start tonight for Dowling. Win and in, lose and go home.
My sophs have a chance to finish the year undefeated and the frosh capped their perfect season last night. Future looks bright.

Congrats to you and your kids...the future does indeed look bright.  How many future Warts in the bunch  ???
Good luck to you tonight...its an exciting time of year and I am very anxious for kickoff and I have to wait 6 and 1/2 hours still
Go Norse!!!

coocoo,
Perhaps Yordi could look to you for guidance in his quest, since it's obvious you've been down that road before.I only hope that just like you, everything good comes out in the end.

plenty of homophobes in here too, I guess.  sounds like you have your own issues, FOOT BALL DADDY.    :o

So kinky.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Well, to randomly change the direction of the board.......

I have Connell as the hands-down MVP right now.  Any differing opinions?

Connell for sure is the front-runner.  Jermar Jackson will probably get some consideration and Sherden will probably as well.  I can't think of anyone else who would be considered and I don't think the vote will even be close...
Go Norse!!!

I guess one more example of one who can't take what they dish out.

Maybe Yordi is sturggling with his own sexuality and feels threatened around gay men because he does not want to give into his urges.  It must be hard coming to terms with your own sexuality if you grow up in a small town where that type of lifestyle is not talked about.  I wish him luck on his journey towards his own truth.  I don't think you should persecute someone who is simply confused about their own feelings.  The gay community should embrace Yordi and understand his struggle.
I forgot to add this to my previous post.

For those who have said on here that Coe and Wartburg is not a fierce rivalry......see the last 20 pages on this board.

Coe v Cornell is not a rivalry.  To be a rivalry, both teams need to show the ability to win every once and a while against the other.  Kind of like how the Yankees and Red Sox were not really rivals for most of the 90's and early 2000's because the Yankees beat the crap out of Boston almost every time they met.

Just starting the Coe v Cornell talk a little early.

Now THAT is smack talk at its finest WH.

Beg to differ on Coe versus Cornell.  It is, in fact, a rivalry.  Rivalries transcend mere winning and losing.  Army hasn't beaten Navy in years...you don't question their rivalry on the basis of win/loss.  In Coe vs. Cornell...There is the geographic component, there is an ideological gap.  There is the fact that Cornell has in fact beaten Coe...just maybe not recently.  Maybe that cools a rivalry but as long as an 0-9 team defines its season success by saying we went 1-9 and at least we beat our rival...its a rivalry.

I dare say if the situation were reversed Coe would not consider this a dead rivalry

BTW - The Yankees and Sux have always been rivals...to suggest otherwise is not accurate...Just ask any Sux fan about Bucky f---king Dent.

And your mother dresses YOU funny too.  That's the smack.
You can't leave me....all the plants will die.

Personally I would say Jackson is the front runner because of the fact that he leads the league in total offense per game at just under 300 yards and he leads the league in scoring per game. Connell is by far the best throwing QB in the league so arguments could be made for him. Sherden leads the lead in rushing and all purpose yards so anyone could make a case for him also. When it boils down to it, Jackson seems to to be the better athlete and leader of the three. So my vote would go to Jackson. Looking around the league would anyone say that there is a chance that a defensive player can win it?

Thank you Walston, I will remember that in the Future.  I know the Yordi situation is interesting, I wasn't shocked by any means, it happens all over the place.  I am sorry for trying to talk about other things on the board...ahh screw it, GO BEAVERS

I would certainly agree with you on this one. I would have also said that Coach B from UD should have gotten coach of the year last year for the turn around and best record in 20 years but that didn't happen. Connell will probably get it because central finished 1st or 2nd even though jermar, in my humble opinion, certainly deserves it. Connell is great, granted, but jermar is a more dangerous QB that teams have to scheme for. His on the field leadership and importance to the Spartan's goes without saying.

Jackson and Sherden are both worthy. I think, with exception to the Coe game, Dubuques record wouldn't be any different with out him. Same with the Norse, only the BV outcome probably would have changed. I just don't think you can say that about the Dutch with out Connell.
