Where can an upstate NY guy living in TN get some of this Hamms? it sounds delicious...

p.s. thanks to RPI's quick exit (we were looking ahead to Mount Union  ::) ), it's Jonnie time.
All mass market domestic beer is the same stuff.  Go to the nearest liquor store with a walk in cooler, buy a six pack of the cheapest stuff they have, ask if you can sit in their cooler to drink it, close your eyes and think about snowmobiles and you pretty much have the experience.

Hamm's is for the weenies who aren't man enough for Grain Belt.

Daddy...Couldnt agree more.  The outside of the GrainBelt can clearly states Premium.  This should be considered a top shelf beer.

Shoes you are on fire today buddy.  The numbers don't lie.  The Dutch are reaching for straws, but let's be serious the juggernaut is rolling and are beginning to make Pella where Central goes to DIE each season.

DF1: Warning do not come to the Stiftungsfestivities if you want to talk football.  We only drink Hamm's, eat burgers, and talk smart.  Football talk is not the focus of the chatter.

EDIT: Looks like the Central posters are starting to resort to the "employment" jokes as the Johnnies are talking circles around them already and it is only Monday.

Coco: How is your couch?  Comfy?  Let's leave the Hamm's to the experts of the MIAC.  Thanks for playing.

You MIAC guys are a little touchy. I wasn't trying to start an arguement or rehash an old one. (Aside from a thinly vieled shot at the bottom of your conference) I just said that St Johns would be in the playoff picture for the forseeable future. Didn't expect a lot of debate over that. But thanks for taking the time to research semi-valuable non-coference history.

I think this is called crawling back into his hole.  It was nice seeing you.
Did we have a bad day at the Burger King?

Bolt....Thats funny.

Both of you had best be careful, or I'll tell the manager to toss out your applications.  And stop PMing asking to be at the pickle station.

I got fired from Burger King and  went to work at Arby's.  I pissed in your pickle jar before I left.

I thought we already covered the stats.  It is simple.  Opponents give Central a short field with fumbles, interceptions, blocked or shanked punts.  Central gives opponents a long field with few turnovers and long unreturnable punts.  Maybe Central needs to keep running past the end zone and try to put up bigger stats.

Whoever said they liked to do research should look up the average starting field position for Central and its opponents.

And as for track meets, I'd like Central's chances there too.

So Central has never been in a track meet because they have spent the season with short fields.  But now you like their chances in a track meet against the King of the Meet.  Interesting.  This "Football of Hope" type talk can let a guy follow any argument to a Dutch win.  When the game finishes and you have been stomped, what will the argument be?
I wasn't arguing.  I was instructing.  When you play in THE CENTRAL BRACKET please pay attention.  Central has been in track meets.  They win the sprints.  You can have everything over 100 yards.

Naturally St Johns will be back next year, and the year after, and forever. With so many conference foes so deeply planted in abyss, you start every season three wins shy of being playoff eligible.

Thunderbolt...do you have any working knowledge of the MIAC?  We just dispatched a team that would have had trouble finishing in the top 4 of our conference...last year's Central team was good, but I am not sure you could have beaten Bethel or St. Olaf which would have put you 4th in our league...and didn't AUGSBURG beat your runner up?  Our lesser programs are getting better...Hamline beat the Tommies and Carleton gave the J's a real battle and I am not sure anyone wanted to play Concordia at the end of the year...so kindly be quiet about things you have no knowledge of.

One thing is for certain: The Johnnies will see a different team in the second half.

Are the Knights playing the second half in place of the Dutch ???

This is great, beating two Iowa teams in one day for the price of a single ticket 8)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I'm looking forward to the chance that the IIAC will have full ownership of the MIAC 2 weeks from now.  The MIAC champ isn't any better than a 3rd tier IIAC team.  The only 2 words I really have to say... Buena Vista.

Yea Dsquared lets go back to week one and make a complete judgement on the season...lets go forward to the middle of the season and talk about your runner up who could not beat a .500 team in AUGSBURG at home no less...again an uniformed IOWAN sounding off

Hey VOJ how about your conference champion losing to BVU.  BVU was 5-5 this year.  You claim to be the class of the MIAC but continue to loose to Bethel in season finale games.  So in turn you are losing to BV who beat BU.  So you are no better than mid rate in the IIAC.  See how stupid this argument is.  Didnt you listen to your coaches growing up....Ang given team can win on any given day.  For petes sake I am tired of hearing about Smogsburgs win over the knights and being a BVU alumnus I am damn tired of hearing how BV beat Bethel.

Point is BV did nothing with the opening day win over Bethel.  You guys have proved as of late you can not beat Bethel.  The show down is Saturday.  Central you better pack a lunch because the Jonnies are going to bring it...SJU you better pack a lunch as well because they are not backing down.

Now here is an informed IOWAN speaking.

OK, so I wasn't necessarily pulling for the Dutch last week, but I'm really hoping for a blow out win over the johnnies from up north. Would be nice to shut some of them up for a while.

You don't really think that will do anything, do you?  Unlike fans of schools that have the occasional hot start to a season or a once-a-decade playoff run before they slip back into mediocrity, we Johnnie fans aren't going anywhere any time soon.  I can guarentee you'll be hearing from us before, during, and--even in the unlikely event of a Dutch win on Saturday--after the game.

Also, an invitation to check out www.JohnnieFootball.com this week.  After today, the contributions the rest of the week should be Johnnie/Dutch-centric.  For those of you whose whole life is football, football, football there should even be some of that discussed over there this week.

GO JOHNNIES!!!

Never felt having a good team was a prerequisite to chatting about some football, IIAC or MIAC.

Otherwise I would be feeling some overwhelming desire to remain silent after our annual bushbaby stomp over Alma.  Instead, it's tooo much fun not to get involved in the online Stiftungschlegelfestungburg that the IIAC has recently become thanks to our new MIAC bestest buddies...

TC, that's pronounced PREE-RECK-WI-ZIT.    ;D

Go Rams!

BTW -  weather downgrade for the San Diego area on Saturday...

Temperature forecasted for cooling trend, down to around 70.  Might have to bundle up and stay inside to listen to the game.
