"Maybe WB being down 10 pts is where they want to be right now"

NO, being down 10 pts is Not where we want to be right now- but the way that first half went, i'll take it.

-2 in TO margin 1st half(awful)  WB starting field position, -20,-15,-25,-25,-21, +39 -32, +11

WW field position- 50, -45, -42, +17, -30, -3(after WB fumbled) -39

WB has to get a 3 & out right out of the gate so we're not playing with 70 yd fields

WH,
I've never seen a counter trey ran with the QB- but i kinda like it

We run it all the time at Dowling. Great play when you are running empty and the DE's are coming up field.
Even better to run against a team "feathering" the zone read.

Announcers are planning their trip to Texas next week at halftime.
Hopefully we can spoil that in the second half.

I had to leave for a bit.  Hard to concentrate on this while my daughters and their friends were watching Hanna Montana next to me.

Wartburg was down 14 at half last week I believe.  So I guess that means the Knights are doing better this week!!!

Believe me, I know about bad announcers.  There have been many times I had to turn the sound off because of the other teams announcers.  More so in basketball than football though.

Go knights!!!

"homerish" announcing is getting openly excited when your team is doing well. I think that is expected, especially from college announcers.
Some of the things to come out of these guys' mouths is plain stupid.

You mean like thinking the Wartburg D-lineman fell down instead of being held ;)

Aside from the announcing. I think the production quality is VERY good.
Much better than the ISU/UNI BB game Wednesday night and that was on Fox.

I was impressed by the Wartburg kids doing the UD basketball game wednesday night.  Students seem to have a harder time doing basketball than football.  At least that is how I have taken it over the last few years of listening to them.  But the Wartburg kids earlier this week did a pretty good job.

Now, on to the 2nd half today.  Make those adjustments and lets get the win today.  Go Knights!!!

I'd tend to agree with you, except for the lack of different camera angles.  I don't know why they have (seemingly) all 3 of their cameras in or along the press box, and nothing down on the field or in the endzones.  But other than that, the graphics, replays, everything else looks real good.

I like the 3-4 look Wartburg used on that 3rd down.  Only 3 down linemen and they rushed 2 or 3 LBs.

I guess it's only me, but I can't believe the play calling by WW. I wouldn't have thrown a pass in the first half. Anderson would break enough plays to win this game. You also have another Anderson on the bench who could do the same. From my point of view, WW is trying to give the game away.

Flash must be watching a different game than I am.

Just got done texting back and forth with TheOne.  Sounds like our boy Mitch Moore is on the UWW sideline talking some smack to the Wartburg fans.  Sounds like some pretty big words from one of the few guys that took longer to finish college than I did.

Everybody knows that Iowa kids can't play football.  Therefore, if the game is close it must be because of the bad play calling from the WW coaches and not because of Wartburg  ::)
