Have to tip my hat and send my + K to the Wartburg Knights.  You earned heaps of respect, not only from this Warhawk fan, but probably a many others.  Hard not to admire a team with a never say die attitude. They gave the 'hawks all they could handle and if it's any consolation, were only a play or two (turnovers  ) from being on the other end of the score and moving on. The school and their fans should be proud. Congrats on winning the IIAC crown and fine playoff performance.  Hope everyone gets home safely!!

To many turnovers for the knights, but they played a good game.  I was not impressed with the www quarterback at all, or did the knights make him look that way.  Wish I'd had another computer hitched up to the wartburg announcers.  Didn't know www had so many players related to NFL legends.

Congrats again to the knights, see you next year when the Dutch come up to your house for another round.

 Got to be proud of our Knights today for giving the National Champs all they could handle. WE have to admit that UWW is a very good football team. Sorry to hear Moore has to act that way  it just shows the knights are better off with him leaving the team and doesn't show good on UWW he just needs to get over what ever is bothering him and get on with his life. Most of the people that posted this week seem like good people that are just proud  of their team like we are of our teams in the IIAC.  Enought of that.
I hope this help with recruiting this year and we can get some good guys.

Congrats to the Knights and Rick Willis on a great season!  You played an excellent team today up on Whitewater!  Good luck to the Warhawks going forward... show the rest of the nation the sorts of teams we've got here in the midwest.  It'd be nice to see you all bring back another title... sometimes the sting is dulled when you can hang your hat on a tough performance versus the champs.

In his defense, he injuried his shoulder and missed a game late in the season and was also injuried last week vs Willamette. He's not at 100%.  But, with that said, about an average game for him.  I'm sure Wartburg's defense had a lot more to do with it than any injury.  Neither QB was overly impressive over the entire course of the game, IMO.

Yordi was not on his best game either throwing the ball, and accounting for 2 unforced TO's, but his receivers didn't help him out very much with some big drops. Including a TD drop early on.

A couple guys that might be overlooked, but had HUGE games for the KNights-
Hoerner, 3 catches for 75 yards.
Kingery (Can we get him back for another year next year) Was money punting the ball and has been all year. He's come along ways from barely being able to catch a snap in his first game freshman year.
In what is listed as 20-30 mph winds, he averaged over 41 yards a kick including a 48 yarder INTO that wind and another one downed at the 2.
Yordi running had 72 yards gained today. Lost 50 on sacks, but a lot of designed runs for him. That could be a VERY tough weapon for IIAC defenses next year.
Jason Lansing, The SAFETY, had 13 tackles today including 4 for loss with 2 sacks.

Congratulations to the Wartburg Knights. They had a great season and showed a ton of heart today. They could have easily won this game and moved on. Without a doubt they are among this year's Elite 8 nationally, not just advancing this far, but in how good they are. Wartburg fans, you have much to be proud of. Yesterday, I posted on the WIAC board questioning whether WC could stop the UWW run game based on their size and the statistics. The category I forgot to check was heart. In my opinion the front 7 of Wartburg played awesome. Kudos!
