One class SK forgot to mention was our first ever May Term class.  The first Communication Arts class required of our major with our professor...Rick Coleman.  Supposed to be 3 hours of class...it was bad luck if it lasted over an hour.  Final was something like 27 multiple choice questions with 2 questions be exactly the same word for word with the exact same 4 choices in the exact same answer.  When we asked him about it he said "Well it was that important I figured you better answer it twice".

I almost forgot about that one.  Rick's a great guy, but not a great teacher.  I remember you, me, and Skilling basically knowing everything (since we had already worked with WTV) and everybody else kind of lagging.  And Rick had nicknames for just about every kid in the class so he could remember their names.  "Nate the Skate" and whatnot.  One day we worked on lighting and as a challenge, Rick had me and a couple other kids light him.  After we got done he looked at the monitor and said "Wow, that's pretty good.  You guys should come work down at KWWL.  When they try to light me up down there all you see are eyes and teeth."

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!  Eyes and teeth!!!!  That is awesome!  For anyone that has never watched KWWL channel 7 sports with Rick Coleman, do this, and you will know why it's so funny.

Yesterday 5 inches of snow to deal with.  Today it is 5 degree temps.  I have been at work for a few hours now and my desktop weather bug has only gone up 1 degree.

Heys, you have any job openings where I can stay warm and away from snow?

Enter a few more hotdog eating contests, pack on a few pounds, and quit complaining.  Jeesh, I'd swear you were a mama's boy with that sort of complaining.

AEN... I'm waiting for comments OR pictures to surface on the board in response to that.

I hear you on the snow thing.  Half of my business comes from commercial snow plowing.  I was up all night getting the boys off and running and now being in the office all day is quite a drag.  I want to hit the bed so bad, but I guess I will have to wait till later on tonight.  I am finally unthawed from in and out of the truck so much last night.  Windows up and windows down.  Thank god for Coca Cola and Copenhagen!

A TRUE mama's boy would have plenty of NEW warm sweaters + sweatshirts in his basket of clean laundry she had just done and delivered to his room.

how's that?

Wow I just had a revolation!  My desk is large enough to sleep under.  I think I might have to smuggle a pillow into the office and make a little nest under my desk.

I will have to send you four hot dogs for advice ;D

I would never sleep on the job...unless you count CWAISW down in Cedar Falls Freshman or Sophomore year when AEN brought us out to Carlos O'Kelly's (I think that was the place).  After a long day of setting up the stage at the church then a big meal of tacos and chips plus fried ice cream for my birthday I was ready for a nap in the back of the control room.

Are you sure you want AEN looking for old pictures?  I'm sure there is plenty he could dig up on both of us.

Any predictions for this years Stagg Bowl Champion?

Looks like Whitewater might have a tough time if scores are an indication.  The other three teams in the semifinals seem to have dominated their competition with a 56 point win out there and a 27 point win.

Well, two monkey stomps by Whitewater would make the Knights look good, but I don't see it happeneing. More likely Mount Union and MHB in the Stagg Bowl. I'll take MHB to be different.
