Purple Heys

Judging by the light activity on the board, it's too cold to post.

Maybe a nice schtupp is the best way to keep warm.   ;)

Back to this -hawk thing for Iowa...I thought I'd recall my original commentary on that from an earlier Pick-em post...

Coe over Loras:  Hawks, Ko beat Hawks, Du.  People not directly affiliated with the schools continue to wonder how anyone thought this naming scheme makes any sense.  On the football side the Ko's are simply better than the Du's.  Elsewhere Coe and Loras AD's propose to change the league name to the Iohawk league.  The Cenhawks, Warthawks, Cornhawks, Sparhawks, Beevhawks, Simhawks, and Luhawks vote in support.

I've already made my case on this to Cornell's Admins.

They thought I had been out in the sun too long....   8)

Seriously...Cornhawks...what's not to like?

Purple Heys

Thump, thump, thump...

Is this thing on?

Actually, Wartburg would be known as the Knighthawks. We already have our own bar and t-shirts.

Schtupp? Been watching Blazing Saddles have we?

And yes it is too cold. After you peel off 14 layers of clothing, you've pretty much lost interest in schtupping.

So, in about 9 months time we could start referring to you as Grandpa Heys  :P

Great post.  I always wondered why all of my friends had September birthdays!!! :D

Wow, the great state of Iowa sure likes their Hawks!

Thanks for the info, BW.  Shows how much I know about Wiscy HS programs.

BTW, my brother and I were both born in September so thanks for the visual of my folks killing time during a blizzard............ugh........just threw up in my mouth a little bit.......................... :D

Man it is Wassilla cold out here today!  And now that I think about it, the Palin family has 5 kids.

Purple Heys is now thinking to himself...

"hmm, I can now think of one reason it might be nice to live through an Iowa winter"  ;D

The other problem with weather this cold is, once you get through those 14 layers, there may be "shrinkage."

I always know it's to cold, when the one piece wool jammies come out. Complete with footies and a master lock on the zipper. And it doesn't have to be winter to get that cold at Thunderbolts Abode.
