I imagine the Arizona Cardinals will have their hands full in the Super Bowl, but I was glad to see former UNI Panther, Kurt Warner, make it back to center stage.

Yes, Warthog, the Cards will have their hands full in the Super Bowl. Arizona will be facing the best defense the NFL has seen since the 2000 Ravens. The Cards do have the advantage in having ex-Steeler coaches on their staff, but Pittsburgh will have a quasi home field advantage, much like Super Bowl 40 at Ford Field. Should be a good game.

As well as Cedar Rapids Regis and the Iowa Barnstormers.

This has made for TV movie written all over it.  Bagging groceries to arena ball, Euro Football, NFL backup that gets called in due to injury, 2 time MVP, supposedly losing his skill leads him to a journeyman back up roll, then near the twilight of his career he leads a founding NFL team that had never been to the Super Bowl to that game.  Add into that his boat load of kids and his faith.  There you go, instant movie.

Klop,

I think I will wait until it warms up until I collect my bet. ;)

Klop, I hope you ran the terms of the bet past your better half first...

Cardinals made it as the Chicago Cardinals way back in the day.  They are the oldest continuously ran teams in America.  It was eight years before the actual Super Bowl, but they still have won a championship.  They have the 2nd longest streak between championships in all of sports - anyone care to take a stab at the longest  :'( ?

And to think that the Bears had talked to Warner about coming to Chicago to be Grossman's back up.  Warner was interested but wanted the assurance that he would be given a shot at the starting job.  Bears management refused to grant him that.  Another great decision!   :P >:( >:( >:(

Nice day for the Regis boys.

Or do we call them C.R. Xavier boys now.

Zach and Kurt making Cedar Rapids proud!

I hope Kurt takes some time to talk about Cedar Rapids flood relief duiring the hundreds of hours of interviews he will be giving the next two weeks.

I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Wait a second Klop, first class travel and accommodations were part of the bet, weren't they?  I will settle for a coach seat if we do it in warmer temps. ;)

Just kidding. They are pretty strict with that stuff. I know a guy that sold drugs for a company called Upjohn and they would not let him put that on his Plates.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

They had to finish a women's b-ball game with 3 players. 4 Suspended, 1 fouled out, 1 injured during the game. Same old, same old.
