Thanks guys....+k for all of you.  I am making a business trip in the latter part of April, just wanted to see what I was in for weather wise.

Weather in late April is grandios.  This is the time when the weather is starting to get better and finals are approaching.  The students on campus are kicking their shoes off and having a good time.  My best memories of school are in April especially the later part of the month!

The first signs of spring do tend to improve attitudes around our state.

And of course your best memories of school would from April.  They sure as $*@% wouldn't be from your exploits on the football field ;D ;D ;D

I kid, I kid, and I know you do have some GREAT memories of your times playing against Dubuque!!!

I am going to take that Dutchie and I can take that crap.  But at least I was on the field.  Where were you dog, on the tennis court? :D

Worse, I was watching the game from my seat in the pep band ;D

I'm glad to hear you weren't the baton twirller for the marching band.   ;) ;) ;)

Upper Iowa draws 1,000 people per game?  I call bull****.

I've been to a couple UIU games since the transition (both early season games with beautiful weather) If there was 600 at either of those game I am shocked.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

Well, if we want to get really nit picky...I was at a Wartburg game that had about 200 people in the stadium but an announced crowd of 1,200 :P

I'm ok with a certain level of BS.  I am sure Wartburg probably had 800-900 season ticket holders, count them and then do a guestimate on a day like that and I can see 1,200.  Nobody counts tickets sold, just look out at the crowd and give us a somewhat accurate guestimate and I think that is fine.

Now, there was a Cali school that claims about 3,500 per game last season when I guess the reality was about 350 were normally at their games :o  That to me is not acceptable.

It was interesting to me that both the MIAC and IIAC out draw the D2 NSIC conference.  A conference with the D2 national champ in MN-Duluth and some state schools not all that much smaller than UNI!!!  Then again, I love to look at meaningless numbers all day long, so there you go.

Interesting that the two D3 programs not fielding football teams next year (Principia and Blackburn) finished last in attendance.

I couln't resist telling an old guy's story.

I saw my first Cub's opening day back in 1966 when I was in seminary in Chicago ... on the north side ... a 25-cent "El" ride from Fullerton up to Wrigley Field.  I think we paid $1.50 for mezzanine seats and both beer and hot dogs were a bargain in those days.  Leo Durocher was managing the Cubs ... and Ferguson Jenkins, who had been acquired from the Phillies, was the opening day pitcher.  It was love at first sight when I walked into Wrigley ... what a ballpark!  Anyway, I'll never forget Jenkin's game winning home-run (I'm sure it was in the 9th).  What a day!
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

Fast Freddy Jackson
that dude was by far the hardest dude I've ever had to try and tackle.  Glad to see he is doing work and representing the IIAC against the big boys.

I love the profile pic. of Lynch...he looks like he's about 45 year old and homeless.

Does anyone know more about an "exclusive rights" player? Sounds like Fred basically has to sign for whatever they offer or he has to holdout.
