Our former IIAC compadres at Upper Iowa finally have themselves an Athletic Director:  http://www.upperiowaathletics.com/genrel/033009aab.html

David Miller, originally from Manning, IA, will begin his duties on May 18.  He was Nebraska-Omaha's AD for the last two years, and his experience prior to that included stints at Truman State, Ohio U., and the Air Force Academy, where he earned his bachelor's.  The release also says he served in the USAF for 9 years.

This comes after recent news that Upper Iowa is planning on 60 million dollars in improvements to their Fayette campus.  They have some good things going on there.  While I am happy to see that, it's still Fayette :P

I would like to congratulate the 2,942,492 people who finished ahead of me in the ESPN bracket. Not individually, of course.

FBD: "I didn't know touchdown was French."

Did it take you this long to thaw out from sunday softball???

It actually turned out to be a pleasant day. The wind died down by the second game and it actually was warm in the sun. Winning both games helped, followed by dinner at Old Chicago (which I didn't have to pay for).

5WOL - THAT is Funny   :D

I agree it was funny, but by (former) profession, I am required to be a wet blanket. :(

The # of housing units times the MEAN value would be the 'price' of housing units; the # times the median is meaningless (pun intended ;)).

In a town of 1,300 there must be a number of properties other than housing units, at least some of which are worth more than any of the housing units.

But I'd bet that $60M could buy the town! ;D

Who's going to get last?  Me or TheShow?  We probably ought to stick to picking football games, bud.

My vote is for me.  My wife has now successfully thumped me in the NCAA Tourny for the 4th year in a row.  I agree to sticking with football.

1,300? That's about 700 more than I would have expected.... Was the census done while school was in session?  ;D
