ROTFLMAO!

It doesn't appear that any IIAC posters had more than 8 Crayolas either!

I have the same trouble today.  My wife asks me to get her salmon-colored blouse out of the closet.   ???

What the heck does that color look like?

Well, if no one else will step up, I'll post in hopes of a 100% IIAC on the ;atest ten posts. ;)

I doubt Pat has the records to confirm it, but I wonder if this is a first?
At least it is here instead of on a politics board...

:D

Mr. Ypsi

I guess I was the Peoria 'rich kid'! ;)  I don't remember less than 16 crayons (of course, there are lots of things I don't remember. :P

Unless this has been jumped in on, it should make 13 straight posts for the IIAC! ;D

[Ralph, sometimes the politics board gets going fast-and-especially-furious, but I can't recall it ever getting this much of a string for the whole d3board.com string. ;)]

Pat Coleman

Yeah, when the politics board is hot, it's usually multiple threads at once, not all 10 in one thread.

It sounds like Waldorf has given up the good fight and sold out.  Unless this company in Alabama shows up at the IIAC offices with a boat load of cash I would say Waldorf has very little chance of joining the IIAC now.  Which is a shame.  Before all this I thought they made the most sense as far as expansion.

Let me guess (with no pun intended) ... you went to Richwoods.

Regarding ties (I know I am a little late) to the IIAC:

Wife's cousin has a son currently @ Dub.
Wife's sister (She & her hubby have ties to the Wart) with a son @ Coe, daughter @ Cornell
Ties to the Wart: Myself; 2 sons currently attending;wife works there. From days of the past;2 of my wife's 4 sisters; 3 of the B-I-L's; 2 of her uncles; 2 of her cousins.....On a side note, ex-neighbor of current coach.

Never too late to jump in.  Good to see there are some families with loads of relatives that have gone to IIAC schools.  Plus, interesting to see a family with a son at Coe and daughter at Cornell.  I bet that is a fun conversation when they are both home.

Some positive news from the Dubuque Telegraph-Herald...applications are up at UW-Platteville as well as Loras and UD.  I was worried that with this economy, our private institutions might take an enrollment hit.

http://www.thonline.com/article.cfm?id=246789

From the article...

Loras College reports that the school is on pace to have one of its largest freshman classes in school history. Freshman enrollment is up 15 percent from last year. If those numbers hold, the college would have its largest enrollment since 1993.

The University of Dubuque has seen a 10 percent increase in applications from last year and hopes that those numbers will translate to an equal increase in enrollment. At this time last year, UD had 1,415 applications, a freshman class of 385 and a total enrollment of 1,323.

Yep - along with about 600 others in the class of '66.  I hear the school has shrunk considerably since then.

Purple Heys

FYI...the 64 ct Crayola box had gold, silver and copper colored crayons.

Our man Warthog probably used the large sized 8 count crayons so his hammy hands didn't break the the crayon when he colored the orange "gold"fish.

I am also betting he had trouble staying within the lines.   ;D

Warthog, Footballdaddy, DBQ1965, and any other guys with adult sons:

Would you enjoy receiving a personalized Louisville Slugger bat for Father's Day?  I'm strongly considering ordering one for Old Man Sportsknight.

Are these 4 minds footballers or just part of the general student body?

Sorry, no football recruiting news :(
