I don't know about anybody else, but I'm very excited to watch the first NFL preseason game tonight.  Not only is my favorite team (Tennessee) one of the combatants, but I've heard that the AFL era throwbacks that the teams will be wearing are going to look sweet.  Just have to hope that any weather issues we get here in the Key City won't knock out my DirecTV signal.

I'm getting anxious for some FB but not enough to watch NFL preseason.   Most camps must be on by now, I hear Central started Thursday.

I think they start this coming THursday, at least most D3's get going this coming weekend and I doubt they got a 10 day jump. I have been wrong before though, once.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

Oh God, don't make me a Lieutenant (Platoon Leader). There is a reason I'm an NCO; I like to train my guys and be in the fight with them, not trying to tell everyone what to do from an office somewhere. Besides, there is this whole unwritten role that as an officer you have to be a gentleman at all times. I'm one to my girlfriend but sometimes people just need a good ass chewing and I am more than happy to deliver that. Since, however, it is the Platoon Sergeants that do accountability in the mornings, I will gladly fill that role. So, Airborne Dutch accounted for.

I watched futbol instead of football last night.  Houston downed Chicago 3-2 in MLS action :P

Thankfully we are only a few weeks away from the time I can stay up on most Thursdays and some Tuesdays to watch obscure Mountain West, MAC, and Sunbelt conference games.  Not to mention on days when we don't go to a Saturday game I can have the tv on pretty much from 9am to about 1am watching college football or football related programing.  I love the fall months!!!

I particularly liked the orange striped shirts worn by the officials.

Any Ram fans from this board going to Grinnell?

I might make the trip out.

Might be some Eddie's Carne Asada in it for you...

Great to finally watch some football of TV last night.  Mr Jackson and Coe College got a few shoutouts by the announcers which is always great to hear...makes me light up like a little kid in a candy store.  Freddy only got 3 carries for 3 yards in the game but it was good to see him out there.  Buffalo's O-line looks like it needs some more work, I remember one play where the Rookie LG got bull rushed clear back into the QB and caused the ball to soar and get intercepted.  I also thought the fake punt Tennesse pulled off for a TD was pretty cool and well thought up.

Last night was a real tease.  Not enough Freddie.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Here's hoping Freddie is a good influence on T.O. ...

It's fun to see an IIAC alum doing well on the national stage... even if he did graduate from Coe.  ;)
