I did see Freddy get a tackle last night after the pick.

Quick Question-
What IIAC schools have twitter accounts?
I know Wartburg's SID does, I've seen general accounts for:
Luther
Coe
Cornell
Buena Vista
and Coe Athletics

I'm wondering if there is a twitterer I can follow for most schools to get ingame updates on Saturdays through text messages.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

I've also seen onces for Loras, but I don't think they update them very often.  I've heard there are some NCAA regulations preventing SIDs from doing a lot w/ Twitter.  Should be interesting to see what happens with school starting back up, now that Twitter is more of a known commodity.

I know he hasn't posted on here much this summer, but hopefully we'll get an update from DutchFan2004 sometime soon.  Sounds like Eldora got lit up pretty good by the storms last night, and hopefully everything's good with his clan.

Central does a Twitter feed: www.twitter.com/centralcollege

I don't know how frequently it's used. (I have yet to join Twitter. I keep hoping it's a passing fad that I can ignore.)

Not anymore. The NCAA got its head together.

The MWC Board is runnin' it.  One fella is predicting a 1st week MWC sweep

St. Norbert over Wartburg

I can see why Monmouth would be favored.  Though my glasses are purple shaded, I don't see us tripping over ourselves again against Grinnell, and Wartburg should be favorites over St. Norbert...just maybe by not as much as last year.

Stir it folks.    8)

Well, I can at least see where Midwest Conference fan is coming from.  Monmouth won last year AT Loras...now gets them at home.  Grinnell won last year AT Cornell...now gets them at home.  Wartburg took it to St. Norbert last year...but this year Warty has the long bus ride up towards Packer land.  I can see how they might think St. Norbert could come away with the win.

That would just be horrible though to go 0-3 to the Midwest Conference opening week.  That just can't happen.  Wartburg goes to Wisky and comes home with a win...and some good local brew from Wisconsin...I mean Dominoes Pizza.  Cornell catches Grinnell off guard and hands it to the Pioneers in a big way.  Loras plays strong...Monmouth is expecting a win...the game goes down to late in the 4th quarter...crystal ball is a little hazy right now...I can't read the final of the Loras/Monmouth game.  I can say that Loras fans will come back from Monmouth complaining about rent-a-cops making them pour out their pre-game beer, lack of toilets anywhere near the visiting bleachers, yada yada yada...prompting Monmouth fans to come on here and say IIAC fans don't know what the hell they are talking about ::)

Let me put it this way:  Not counting Augsburg, Wartburg has lost just one non-conference regular season game in the past eight years.  That game (2005 at Millikin) was also the only time in the past decade that the Knights have dropped a season-opener.  Just sayin'.

Another great one warthog.  This has become the first thing I look at after I grab my coffee every morning.  And I love how you have found sports quotes from people like Phillis Diller and George Carlin.  Not your usual suspects!!!
