Is Ram fighting legal? Where can you place bets?  ;D

If you are wanting to place bets you can contact  Mr. Vick in Philly  :D

A) Loras posters aren't that fair-weathered. There simply aren't that many of us. I can only think of about 5 or 6 that have posted over the past few years. Even during the height of basketball success a couple years ago there are only a couple "running their mouths".

B) Nice toss by the Loras student/Cubs fan. We could have used an arm like that to actually win a game in the IIAC baseball tournament. Too bad he chose soccer :) ....Of course Loras has its fair share of d-bags, but what private school doesn't? Every IIAC school has their beer-tosser or homophobic quarterback.

Loras has their 2009 schedule up now....but that's it. Come on!

Also....I was looking at Luther's athletics website. It looks pretty sweet. I know it's been that way for a quite a few months now, but I'm always impressed. Other schools should start thinking about updating their online look (esp. Loras and UD).
Not going to lie...Dewey is a pretty good looking bird/furry beaked body builder.

Heys I look forward to seeing you at a few games this year. Saw JR. the other day and I can't believe he came in at a slender 195 as a freshman??!

Fixed it for you...because he's around 2-fiddy now.   :o

Wartburg JUST redid  theirs on Wednesday.
Aaron Kampman on Coach Ed Thomas
I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

Beer tossing Loras student makes the front page of the Telegraph-Herald.

du-sz, part of us razzing on the Loras fans is we want more of you on here.  I believe last season, Loras was the only IIAC school that didn't have regular posters on here.

WartTrainer

So rumor is that Simpson is expecting a very large number of guys reporting today...  in the 130-150 range....

I'm glad you guys are on us (sadly, I and maybe one other are the only ones responding for now haha). I'm always disappointed in the lack of Loras representation on here.  Maybe it can convince some people to get involved. We need it!

The new Wartburg site looks nice, their Lutheran counterparts outdid them a little as far as sheer looks, but I like it's clean style (and the fact that you don't have to scroll).  It's good to see some are moving into the 21st century...

God, I need some football to talk about. I'm talking about website designs, what's with that??

Hopefully they have more than just high school backups.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

WartTrainer

I can't comment on the quality of players yet...  hopefully i will get some more news later in the week.....  Any word on what the number and quiality of players checking in for the Knights?

Walston Hoover

No idea about numbers, but I know they were excited about pulling in some quality kids that I coached against.

My son told me they were expecting 50 - 60 newcomers and only lost a couple under-classmen who chose not to return from last year so 130+ is certainly a possibility.  Coach Glo has brought a real upbeat attitude to Indianola.

This is a great time of the year.  Every team thinks they have a chance to make a great showing and maybe, just maybe, win the IIAC.  If not be the champions, every team thinks they will at least finish in the top 1/3 of the conference race.  Well, over the previous ten years it appears every team has finished in the top echelon at least once.

2008: 1-Wartburg  2-Buena Vista  3-Simpson/Loras
2007: 1-Central  2-Wartburg  3-Coe/Dubuque
2006: 1-Central  2-Wartburg  3-Coe/Dubuque
2005: 1-Coe/Central  3-Wartburg
2004: 1-Wartburg/Coe  3-Buena Vista/Luther/Central
2003: 1-Wartburg  2-Simpson  3-Loras
2002: 1-Wartburg/Coe/Central
2001: 1-Central  2-Wartburg  3-Coe/Cornell
2000: 1-Central  2-Wartburg  3-Buena Vista
1999: 1-Wartburg  2-Central  3-Buena Vista

Top three IIAC finishes over the past ten seasons:

Wartburg-10,  Central-8,  Coe-6,  Buena Vista-4,
Simpson-2,  Loras-2,  Dubuque-2,  Cornell-1,  Luther-1

Well to knit pick a bit.

Dubuque and Coe tied for 3rd place in 2006 and 2007 at 5-3 overall.  Not just 2007.
