Me, Mrs. Heys, Senorita Heys and Senor and Senora Heys will be at the Cornell/Grinnell game.   :)

Current plan is to be laden with about 5 lbs. of Carne Asada from Joey's Carniceria for Jr. to enjoy with his buddies.   8)

Rev. 3 gets left behind...his first game is Friday.  He gets to come to the Loras game 11/7

I have also incentivized his growth.  I told him I pay him $100 if he was taller than me by January.   ;)

Wh, I see the pressure is on. Rated  number 1 in the polls. Congrats. At least that what they said on TV sports tonight.

Yes the experts tell us we are supposed to be good, but they aren't at practice every day.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

If Central doesn't beat the Lakeland Muskies, then there is something fishy in Sheboygan.

Thought for the day:

Offensive linemen are the guys on the team who are the most selfless.  Those are the types of guys who make great coaches. When you're coaching, you look for that kind of guy.

Odds on that actually being Raeburn, and not an assistant?

I was at Central's alumni scrimmage, couldn't tell a whole lot though from the game.  Central won and I think everyone that was dressed played.  Alumni did not have a QB return for the game, so Doud played QB to start.  They rotated a lot.   Here is what I did learn.  Snead looks to be the most versatile of the QB's.  We have some new kids that really looked sharp against out of shape alumni.  :)  Vance can still run like crazy, Cody Huisman is still one of the best receivers to ever play for Central and both could come back for another four years as far as I was concerned.  JR played sit down comic on the color commentary from the booth.

Nice article, players seem ready to push for a conference title.

The T-H had a Clarke fall sports preview yesterday.  Loras football preview today.  Hopefully the UD preview will be soon.

Sounds like they'll have a stout defense, and they'll need to if they want to be competitive this year.

Was looking over the Central roster and noticed that former kicker Jason Goulden is now a student coach for the Dutch.  Did he get hurt?  Or just see the writing on the wall that Viggers was going to be the man?  I covered Goulden when he was in high school and thought Goulden was a pretty good athlete.

Are there any other schools that do alumni scrimmages like Central? I think it's a pretty sweet idea. I'd like to see Cornell do something like this. I doubt it'll happen but here's to wishful thinking.

PH, when do you get into Iowa?
