QuoteI don't know I have not seen him play yet.

Who the heck has?

Let's just put it all the way

IS MILES HOOKSTEAD THE BEST FRESHMAN IN DIVISION III?

How did I miss this UD talk earlier?  I was just noticing the Central talk about top 25 rankings.  FWIW, the UD announcer said the UD coaches were surprised that the freshman TE hadn't got schollie offers from D1 schools.

It might not be mom or dad...it could be the girlfriend ;)

The Miles Hookstead hype train is chugging along here, too:

What's that I hear? That all-too-familiar ring.

"Hookstead" for  "Heisman" has quite a ring to it.  Or am I tone deaf?

Oh boy, I fear this will be another train wreck that I can't help but look at.

Any current D3 players...don't post on here.

That goes for parents if they think their son is top 50 talent in the nation after ONE game.

If this is someone doing this just for laughs...then go ahead.  It's always fun to watch a message board get their panties in a bunch ;D

Though my guess is either Mr. Hookstead SR. or Jr. or someone associated with the family.  Which ain't cool!!!

All that said, Mr. Hookstead and the rest of the UD team had a good 1st week to the season...we shall see if that continues through the 2nd week of the season.  It didn't happen last year ;)

Oh man...we just uncovered a massive two-sport DIII star....Miles Hookstead might play basketball (one of the top 50 players in DIII hoops) too according to "Mr. H" from the Wissports.net board and the kid can actually dunk!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjRRJZmxKw4  Watch out!  There is a kid that can dunk in DIII!!!!!

Everybody...GET OFF THE TRACKS WHEN THIS KID COMES THROUGH THE LANE/ENDZONE!!!!!!

Gee, with all the experience around here even I can spot a train now.

Pat, do us all a favor.........

But he did drive through Whitewater, which is better than staying at a Holiday Inn Express.

Hookstead is from Whitewater, Wisconsin, and attended Whitewater High School. dubuque4life's email handle is "bigrocketsbbfan." Whitewater HS teams are called the Rockets.

Not real tough to figure it out.

[SCIAC Inside Joke] I'm just waiting for "dubuque4life" to come back on here and say he's not Hookstead's dad but he knows Miles father through church. [/SCIAC Inside Joke]

Mr. Hookstead traveled, no basket.  Maybe they allow 3 steps in wisconsin though?  He has apparently been encouraged to inflate his self esteem in a variety of different ways.

I bet he couldn't make that dunk in traffic. :-[
