Congrats to the victors today. Impressive wins by the Dutch and by Coe. I need to quit picking Loras to win! The Norse grounds crew has their work cut out for them. From 30 yard line to 30 yard line, it's a giant mud puddle. A little grass left on both ends to work with, but that's about it.

Time to fund raise and get field turf ;D ;D ;D ;D

Happy Homecoming to everyone.

Two things ...

1.  A really bad day for the Spartan  Nation.  Let's see how UD rallies after today's debacle.

2.  Purple Heys ... be sure to give us an up-date on Hey's Jr. and his condition.
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

Heys, sorry about your boy. Please give him our best from the NWC. Injuries suck.
Two words:  THE STREAK

Purple Heys

Thanks, I think he's going to be alright in a couple of days.   :)

Let get some positive thoughts out to Central's Aaron Steenhoek, his injury may be more severe... :(

Obviously I'm not watching DF2k4's boy...folks decided to get Macaroni Grill.

Heys,
Remind Junior of how much better he'll feel when he's hitting the 1000 mark. Might make him feel better. Injuries suck. I have one down on this side.  :'(

I'll try to shed a little light on today's game.  There is no doubt in my mind after last week and this week's performance that Central is a top-10 team in the nation.  They are solid.

The Kohawk offense looked good today.  I know the UD defense isn't great, but Coe nearly had two 100-yard rushers in this game, with one of them being a quarterback.  Hammes and Boyle had 19 and 20 carries each, not to mention he completed 80% of his passes.  I can only imagine it would have been more with Ratchford in there, but the rest of the WR's looked good.

As for the Defense, the Kohawks just flat out brought pressure on Hansen all day and forced him into some bad situations.  I had heard that UD's top two WR's were banged up, but I don't think that affected anything today.  The Kohawks just looked good in ever aspect.

It will be nice to have a bye this week, giving the Kohawks two weeks to prepare for Wartburg, in what I believe to be the game to decide second place in the Iowa Conference.  Don't know if we can get two teams in the playoffs this year, but this could be the game that decides who the second team is.
Well said, Krazy. That's as complete a game as I've seen the Kohawks play in quite some time. It was sure nice for the seniors, especially, to taste a homecoming victory. The bye week comes at an ideal time as Coe gets two weeks to rest and recuperate before the showdown with Wartburg.

Let get some positive thoughts out to Central's Aaron Steenhoek, his injury may be more severe... :(

This could end up being a huge injury for the Dutch.  For those who didn't see / hear - he was taken off the field late in the first half with an air cast on his lower right leg.  He was back with the team for the post game cheer on crutches with a boot on that leg.  That's not a good sign.

The Central D has been outstanding the last couple of weeks, and I think the biggest reason was that the defensive line was getting pressure on the quarterback with just the front four.  Steenhoek was a huge part of that, and if he's out, it looks like it's going to be up to Holden Blythe to fill some pretty big shoes.

This may be a chance for Blythe to step up and develop.  We have some depth that in years past may have hurt the Dutch.  Not that having a player get hurt is a good thing.

I'm not sure if I'm reading Centrals schedule correctly, but do we have a by week?
and if we don't, why don't we?
