Will we be able to get the Central Loras game through Loras's website?

You should, they stream almost everything on their site.  And usually comes through pretty clear as well.  Better than the Luther and Central sites I have sat and watched UD lose through >:(

You'll get a good view of the cliff top visitor seating they have at the Rock Bowl as well...I always get a kick out of that for some reason.  Dubuque almost goes more European Soccer fan for pregame.  You see almost more drinking at the local bar and then heading out to the game as actual tailgating at the parking lot.

Good point!  But after having MUC win the North seemingly forever, ANY change seemed 'good'! :D
Reminds me of about 10 years ago when Central started the first of 3 national championships in volleyball.  We had two incredible middle hitters and in one game one of them overheard a player on the other team mutter, "thank goodness she is finally moving to the back row" the player chuckled, knowing that her move to the back row meant the even stronger hitter was moving to the front row.  The one moving from back to front won DIII player of the year 2 years and the one moving from front to back won it the year after the other one graduated.

Nice story!  A similar situation would be MUC opponents who breathed a sigh of relief when the Raiders' all-OAC running back was injured in the final regular-season game of 2005.  His replacement? Some dude named Nate Kmic (who ran for over 1000 yards in the 2005 post-season alone)! :o

Only MUC (and now, perhaps, UWW) could find a Nate Kmic riding their bench! :D
Saw him play in the Stagg Bowl on TV.  He should have come to Central.  We would have let him play  much sooner.   ;)

What a miserable night for high school football down here in SE Iowa.  Mrs. Warthog and I just walked in the house, we actually left a game early.  BB had his Mepo Bulldogs up 27-0 over the L-M Falcons in the fourth quarter so we called it a night.  I'm looking forward to seeing how the playoffs shake out.

Thought for the day:

When I went out on the field to warm up, I would manufacture things to make me mad. If someone on the other team was laughing, I'd pretend he was laughing at me. It always worked.

Wife expecting a baby?

I already have three, and the procedure has been done.

Coe beat Wartburg, and the Headhunters won the division III Iowa Rugby championship on Saturday beating the Iowa City Ducks 38-7 so I am all smiles.
:D ;D :D
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Paddy O'Rourke's was jumping last Saturday night.  The rugby team the, C.R. Rollergirls (and their bus with the stripper pole), and a ton of Kohawks were down there.

PARTY!

Regarding HS football...

Had a pretty good night out here in Vista, where we had a nice memorial ceremony for former Panther Sal Aunese and his #8 jersey was retired at halftime of week 8 here in North County.  (you may know of him from the University of Colorado).  A large contingent of family and friends made it to the event...and the Panthers slobberknocked Poway 23-0.

In the JV game prior to the main event, Rev. 3 had a nice game hauling in his 2nd TD catch of the season...1 of 4 catches on the day...and if you know anything about Vista football that's nearly the equivalent of Zweifel's kid collecting 20 in one game.   :D

For the second time in as many years, the announcer called him Alex.    ;)

It's Bye week for me, so I'm getting the lucky chainsaw out and chopping up a tree that's overgrown in my back yard.   8)

Good luck and an injury free day to all IIAC competitors this weekend.

I was thinking Rugby might have something to do with it as well.  Throw in some roller girls and stripper poles and Coe beating Warty and I can see why you're so happy.

Hopefully, Coe beat Wartburg so bad last week they give up and let UD roll them today...but I am not holding my breath for that one.
