Yes, the Dutch need to sharpen up the pass D.  Then again, part of it is that more and more teams are not even trying to run against us anymore.  If you are constantly throwing the ball, eventually we will get an INT and the other team will catch us missing a big play here and there.

wow.. 41-0 kohawks @ halftime

coe total offense 431
simpson total offense 53

Is Simpson sending their defense out on the field?

How far has Simpson fallen ??? They loose to Cornell and they are in the cellar... What is going on ??? ??? ??? ???

the_mayne_event

Can't speak for the game because i wasn't there.

Boyle still without a pick - thows for 300 yrds with 2 tds and adds 2 rushing tds
Coe racks up 585 of offense
Simpson gains 260 with much probably on the 2nd stringers
Coe gives up 2 4th qtr TDs to make the score 48-14

Coe only gives up 10 1st downs all game, but nearly all of simpson's offensive stats came from teh 2nd half

From  the standpoint of a fan, the BV-Luther game was FANTASTIC !!  A pitched battle between two equal teams.

Without checking stats it appeared that BV dominated yardage and time of possession while Luther's defense dominated points. Luther secondary held on "by the skin of their teeth".  BV got in the red zone and missed 2 FG which would have put them ahead.

BV QB played a great game in both rushes and passes.  Norse QB did his thing when necessary.

Wonderful afternoon of entertainment.  Even better than the choir or "Christmas at Luther".

No chance the Norse will give up a mud field to everyone who likes field turf.  Why would they?  Football is SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYED ON GRASS DURING THE DAY.

Which would I prefer, one receiver who has 167 yards or 4 who have 157?   :-\

Sorry I missed the festivities in Dubuque today.  The game wouldn't have been that entertaining, but not being there also meant I didn't get to go to Breitbach's for dinner.  Now that is a real bummer.

With one group of Spartans having bit the dust, I can only hope the other rallys from the 3-3 half-time score and puts up big numbers in the second half.

In the Corn Fields Border Battle I was surprised the 9-7 half-time lead held up for the Cyclones.  With all those fumble recoveries any other team would have won by four touchdowns.  What the heck, a win is a win.  When your two favorite D1 teams are playing each other, you at least know you will be happy for one of them.

It sounds like the Norse put on a clinic today.  The Knights may have their hands full when they visit Decorah next weekend.  We probably could stop at Breitbach's on the way home.  If not there, Gunder is on the way.  ;)

Sounds like the KoHawks are getting stronger as the season progresses.  Of course that is what you want.

Charlie Kohawk

Brad Boyle 14-22 for 306 yards and two touchdowns with 0 interceptions passing. 51 yards and two touchdowns on five carries. Not a bad day's work, especially when you do it all in one half while leading your team to a 41-0 lead.

Coe opened the season with a question mark at QB. Seems like we've got a legitimate MVP candidate at this point.

Keep rolling Kohawks!

Congratulations to all of today's winners.  Way to hang on Luther!  I watched the end of your game and it was exciting.  But what a mud mess.  Time to join the majority of the conference with field turf.

No chance Luther ever gets field turf...coming from a former receiver nothing worse then running routes in that mess...but I really think it plays to this teams strengths...next weekend should be fun!!

In what world is it kosher to be a Huskers fan and a Cyclones fan!  ???

With Wheaton going down, it does look highly likely that an undefeated UWW team would get moved North and MUC would get moved East.  Good news for everyone in the West at this point...

Amazing game in East Lansing.  How bout those Hawks.!  No, they aren't national championship caliber, but they know how to win.  I say Ken O'Keefe buys the MSU Def. coordinator a beer, or several.

I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Well said Coocoo.

Looks like the Norse D came to play today,  6 trips to the red zone for the Beavs and only 3 FG to show for it.  Kind of the Dutch "bend but don't break' mantra

Big week coming up, Central wins they clinch AQ.  The Lutheran Bowl with serious meaning in the conference race, and could this be the week for the RAMS  Not to jinx jr and the  boys but it looks awfully promising

I'm not ready to drink the black/gold Kool-Aid & become a Hawkeye fan, but after that finish I'm coming around to believe they are a very good team.  Damn it all!  :-X
