With Wheaton going down, it does look highly likely that an undefeated UWW team would get moved North and MUC would get moved East.  Good news for everyone in the West at this point...

As part of National History Month and a salute to Daniel Boone marking when Ohio was West I'd like to see 'em come over to the West just once.

Thought for the day:

Well, we've determined that we can't win at home and we can't win on the road. What we need is a neutral site.

Coe opened the season with a question mark at QB. Seems like we've got a legitimate MVP candidate at this point.

Should the Kohacks conquer Central and he has a big hand in that, I would tend to agree.

I'm not ready to drink the black/gold Kool-Aid & become a Hawkeye fan, but after that finish I'm coming around to believe they are a very good team.  Damn it all!  :-X

They're something that's for sure.  They just win.  It was fun to see.

Regarding BV and Luther...I expected a close game...both beat the Rams by 7 more or less clinging to that lead until Cornell's final possession.

Luther had the better balanced offense (against us anyway) and BV's defense got a slight edge in my book.

I think the home field advantage was a boost to the Norse...and they ended up winning as I expected.

I am mildly astonished at Coe's total domination over Simpson.  I thought Simpson would put up a better fight...maybe it was just one of those days against a fired up opponent that didn't need the help in the first place.

Cornell better not take that Storm lightly...that would be the same Storm that beat the BV team that just beat us.

A night game on Halloween...should be fun.  The Rams have a chance to heal the bumps and bruises and focus on the Storm for 2 weeks.

Coe could still end up with a losing record... and Simpson could live up to their potential.

Or Not!

;D
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

I'm curious if anyone has tried to press cover / bump and run Zweifel -  he's got great hands, maybe slightly better than average speed but doesn't appear to be terribly physical.  I can tell from  watching a train wreck you aren't going to sit in Tampa 2 and give 10 yard cushion and do anything but help him set records.  Oh that's right Simpson did help him set 2 records.  I was pretty disappointed we didn't try something / anything different after say his first 10 catches.   Put your best athlete on him, knock the crap out of him coming off the line and then jump in his jock and stay there.

wtf???  only a simpson fan would think of this ;D

Oh pretty good -  that should keep you Kohawks worried when we come to town. :-*

I would say you guys spent more time playing in your own jocks then stopping the Coe offense  ;D ;D

I'd love to come up with some glib reply but we stunk it up,   Coe looks to be a very good team and well right now we are not.   I'm not sure which is more humbling giving up 400+ yards in the first half or offense only having 53.    When your kick off return man is your all purpose yardage leader that is not a good sign.   :-\

No way that Coe can conquer Central...that was decided a few weeks ago.

I dont see how a 1 loss Coe team (to top 10 team) still only gets 3 votes in the Top 25

Brad Boyle 14-22 for 306 yards and two touchdowns with 0 interceptions passing. 51 yards and two touchdowns on five carries. Not a bad day's work, especially when you do it all in one half while leading your team to a 41-0 lead.

Keep rolling Kohawks!
Sounds like Boyle is making a strong pitch for POY.  A QB who gets this far, and maybe through the whole season without a pick playing on a team that is having a much better year than most would have expected.  Sounds like a reasonable candidate to me.

It's a tough year. And remember that it's twice as hard to get into a D-III Top 25 as a D-I Top 25. There are 238 teams in Division III and half that in D-I FBS.

Mr. Ypsi

Just checked the BCS standings.  Iowa is now 1.000 in the computer average (but only 4th, due to 8th in both human polls).  More evidence that computers are smarter than people? ;D
