Believe this is the third year Wartburg has been using the no huddle. Its nothing new to college football and hardly "gimmicky."
A lot of High School's use it now as well. Just a good way to get the tempo going and look over the Defense. We use it every once in a while at Dowling and we are 75% run.
Congrats to Central on the season they had (are having).
Didn't even realize it until I got home last night that when I left for football meetings early yesterday morning I threw on a Central shirt. It wasn't showing at any point yesterday, but boy was I embarassed.

Well I apologize then, didnt know they had been running the no huddle hurry up offense that long. When I played last they hadnt been, to the best of my knowledge as I was on offense.

In past seasons the IIAC has got two teams into the playoffs.  In those seasons were the two teams co-champions?  Has there ever been a season where the second place team made it into the playoffs?

The NCAA doesn't really draw the distinction between co-champs and second place.

Congrats to  all of the Rams.  There's a monkey out there looking for a back to jump on now.  Lets hope he leaves Iowa.

Also congrats to DBQ and Coe for a big wins for their programs, both have shown considerable improvement this year.

Way to go Dutch!  Undefeated seasons are very difficult to achieve, lots of games where it could have been lost, including yesterday, but you got it done.  Good Luck in the playoffs, keep the focus and don't be happy just to be there.

Yes, thank you Doolittle.  We beat St.Paul yesterday 25-7.  In April we meet Dubuque in the Midwest Semifinals. The winner of that match also qualifies for the National Championship tournament next May.

Way to go Kohawks! Can't wait to go to the game next Saturday.
;D
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Back from Iowa City...and I've finally sobered up. :) (just kidding...really) No more Iowa football for me -- my friends have reminded me that my presence is bad luck.

Congrats to the Rams on a great win! Heys, glad you were in town to witness! I'm really glad Cornell got the proverbial monkey off their back with a W -- keep it rolling!

Congrats, also to Coe for finishing strong. Here's hoping for a playoff berth for the Kohawks....

And, speaking of playoffs (now that we have taken care of business) BIG CONGRATS TO CENTRAL for a strong finish to another amazing season!

Now, I need to go and take care of this sunburn.... who would have thought that I could get a farmer tan in November?

Allowing myself some more reflection on yesterday...

Our Defense was the star.  4 picks, 8 TFL's including 3 sacks, 3 QB Hurries.

Our Offense had one heck of a 1st half, but went into a shell for most of the 2nd half and that's where the Defense picked us up.  Loras had more opportunities in the 2nd half and the Defense made several big plays.

Several big plays and several big players:  Spickerman and Tabor had their best days as collegians, Barlow came up huge on the final play, Kelly's diving pick was a stunner...but I gotta give the game balls to the Seniors.

King played hurt for more than half the game and collected a pick off Spickerman's deflection as well as punting for better than 41 yards per with a 66-yarder.  Bladt's pick was a dagger that set up the winning TD.  But to me, the signature play and most pivatol play was the indomintable play of Zasada and Siar and the way the D-Line stood up Loras on 4th and 1 with 3:16 in the 4th Quarter.  That's when it cemented the belief we would win this one. (Thanks ultimately to Joe Barlow).

You can't leave me....all the plants will die.

Heys congrats to Cornell and their seniors.  A long wait.  I hope they don't have to wait too long for another IIAC win as long as they aren't playing the Dutch.   ;D ;D ;D.  If all works out right I may see you for the Coe game.  With Central off I may need a game to come watch.

I hope to see you there.  You will easily find me...I will be wearing the Rams horns.  (no leggings, though   ;) )

;D

Time to get after the Ko-hacks!

We now have nothing to lose, nothing to fear.  It's now only a game again.
