Very interesting poat on the IIAC enrollements.  I did not know BV had 2376 students.  Are they all residential students or the "Upper Iowa type", i.e. computer enrollees?  An honest question.

Buena Vista
Enrollment: 2,376
36% Male ; 64% Female
67% in-state ; 28% out-of-state ; 5% unknown
91% white ; 2% black ; 3% hispanic ; 1 % asian

The data I had was from the Department of Education.  Pat Coleman has government data from another site at... http://ope.ed.gov/athletics/InstList.aspx

Interesting how two government agencies can have different data.

Enrollement:
BVU - 1,999
Central - 1,426
Coe - 1,249
Cornell - 1,103
Dubuque - 1,279
Loras - 1,440
Luther - 2,347
Simpson - 1,474
Wartburg - 1,729

Does B.V. teach accounting?

Quote from: WikipediaThe main campus of Buena Vista University serves approximately 1,200 students (+/- 5%) each academic year, and currently offers classes in 42 majors, give or take. Fifteen additional locations throughout Iowa and online serve about 1,400 students as part of the Professional & Online Studies program, but the exact number is unknow, thereby allowing them to fudge the enrollment numbers.

Way to go on your top ten finish Kohawks!
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Congrats to the IIAC All Americans. Zweifel 2nd team, Bladt 3rd team, and Weymiller Honrable Mention.

With Zweifel leading the nation, shouldn't he have been 1st team?
NKD: "We need a f**king touchdown, excuse my French"
FBD: "I didn't know touchdown was French."

Just another case of "the man" keeping the Spartans down ;D

For 2010 football schedules, with Luther and Central having the exact same conference order as last season.  Can we assume that will apply to all IIAC teams?

They threw to him more but was he better than Cecil Shorts?

He was 1st team last year.  Would he be 1st team again this year if he was still playing in the WIAC?

He actually was not first team last year.

I think the correct question would be is Zweifel better than either Shorts or Koors?

What separated both Shorts and Koors, actually, were yards per catch, over 18.5 each, compared to 13.7 for Zweifel and 11.0 for Jeff Koeneman. All four had double-digit touchdowns as well, so there wasn't much of an advantage for anyone there.

Possesion recievers that run good routes and have good hands need not apply for all-american teams then.  Just be fast and catch the deep ball ;)

I kid, I kid.  I'm just happy to see Dubuque get some recognition.  It doesn't come often for us.

Zweifel was prolific in his own right regardless of YPC.

Teams he played knew where the ball was going and more often than not could not stop it.  I came away impressed from my view of him.

At the end of the day the possession receivers are akin to the singles hitters and the big play guys are the home run hitters.  Home run hitters get the big bucks.

On the other hand, all else being equal, I would call a TD a home run and in that metric its Shorts (19), Zweifel (15), Korrs (13).

In the end, any of the 3 are darn good players and it's left to personal opinion who is better than who.
