Kohawk Remedy

Just wanted to congratulate Coe on finishing 10th in the d3football.com poll!  Central ended up finishing 8th.

My bad Speedkills, I thought you posted it. Steelhawk did. It was the starting with the S and post that threw me off.  ::)

its all good.  i had to do a double take on the name myself.  haha.
Terrell Owens was asked for one word to describe himself. He said "confident." When asked for another word he said "very."

Observation on the UWW-MtUnion game.  Those two teams played at a level that is  a notch or two above any game I have ever seen in the IIAC in the last 50 years.  Receivers play, RB jukes, QB throws and DB/DL/OL play had exceptional consistancy.  Not just an occasional good play.

This is not a knock on the IIAC but only to say that those two team played an exceptional game.

Congrats to the Whitewater and to Mt. Union for such entertainment.

the teams have an absurd amount of talent.  pierre garcon is now with the colts doing his thing, and justin beaver had a couple pro workouts (to name a couple recent players).  they are just able to attract quality players by way of legacy, luck, and a little of both.  uw-w's current rb (coppage) was getting d1 looks and suffered an ankle injury sr yr of hs.  next thing you know he's at uw-w going for over 2,000yds as a soph and being named mvp of the stagg bowl

I have to agree with SpeedKills. Also, look at the Geographics. In Mount Union's case, Ohio has three large cities: Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Columbus. Combined, those have more people than the entire state of Iowa. There is bound to be a tremendous amount of talent that just doesn't get noticed. Right now, Garcon's success in the NFL is just another awesome recruiting tool that Mt. Union has. Who wouldn't want to play for a team that is always playing for the National Championship? On the UWW front, have they always been this good or what? I seem to remember them really coming to power in only the last 7 or 8 years.

Allright, how about a few questions to ponder.

What was your best/favorite win in the IIAC?

What was your worst loss in the IIAC?

And explain...don't just put a school down and leave it at that.

Is this a fans perspective of this year or all time or games guys actually played in?
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Hey Cali,
Missed you at the Rugby X-mas party.

We didn't even finish the keg, but I think the strippers got to drink it once we left.  So everyone had a Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas to everyone on the board!
I had an early flight the next day to prepare for. Now I'm back home in Oceanside and not missing the freezing rain and snow at all.

Congrats to the IIAC All Americans. Zweifel 2nd team, Bladt 3rd team, and Weymiller Honrable Mention.

With Zweifel leading the nation, shouldn't he have been 1st team?
Congrats to the trio that made All American status. It's always nice to see a Cornell guy get recognition. I thought Zweifel would end up on the first team but I guess it just wasn't in the cards. Weymiller really made it easy to forget about the loss of Wilkins and Hadenfeldt. I'm interested to see how he follows this year up. He can save is off week for the Coe-Cornell game.

It didn't look all that warm last night at the Poinsettia bowl.
