A win is a win. Is this true?

The reason I ask this question is because the team that my sons school lost to yesterday had quite a bit of an attitude (before, during and after). They won 27-0 and first place in the tournament.
How to define their attitude? Talking smack, swearing, shoving after the plays.....I think you may get the point.
So is there a difference in a Cal Ripken and a Ty Cobb; A Mike Tyson and a Gentleman Jim? Or is a win a win? Does it really matter how a team gets to that win? If they play with in the rules, does it really matter on how you play the game?
Is winning everything??? :-\

Did that school's name rhyme with Barkos say Leeza?  We played them the week before at the SDSU Tourney.  We beat them on Day 1 and met them again on Day 2 in the Semi's and lost in the last  minutes 27-24.  Rev. 3 caught 2 TD's including a 40 yarder to put us ahead with 4 minutes to play.  They shut up.  Unfortunately our D couldn't hold.

During the game one of their coaches was woofin' and one of ours got going with it.  SDSU coaches had to come and settle things down...we lost about 5 minutes of gametime that would have been nice to have when time ran out with us having the ball 30 yards out.

That's the one. I could come up with another rhyme, but I'll just leave that alone. I didn't hear about the final game in San Diego. My son goes to Brophy. Their team made it to the quarter finals and then hit the bus. Hopefully you were able to look at them in a respectful manner.

Barkos say Leeza is going to run into some problems this year. There reputation is following them like a stink in an out house. Here in Arizona we're just going to have to wait and see what the rest of their team looks like.  8-)

As I have told PHeys offline, in the past week, we've upgraded the message board to patch a hole and removed the malware. I am hopeful that antivirus software will eventually catch up and take us off their list.

If you see something and have a specific warning message from your AV software, do please let me know.

Did anyone check the rams site recently, seems jay davis former ud coordinator is back with coach vince..very interesting

VikeME also posted earlier today on the Midwest board about former UD QB and GA Byron Abram becoming a coach at Lawrence.  Now after 2 posts he has deleted his account.  Things that make you go Hmmmmm :o

That is interesting news though.  Who left and why at Cornell for there to be an opening for Jay Davis?  And say hello for a pipeline of Florida kids to Cornell.  Jay Davis was the recruiting coordinator under Brautigam at UD and was instrumental in bringing those Florida kids to Dubuque.

Adam Eichhorn was the DC last year. He's no longer coaching at Cornell.

Hey, any word on if the Sparty's are gonna get Brandon Wegher to come play football since he flunked out at Iowa?  Maybe that's a one time pipeline.    ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

If he's not smart enough for Iowa, he's not smart enough for any IIAC school.

I hadn't heard that Wegher was academically ineligible.....

Nothing nefarious...Word is Mr. Ike is getting hitched...I heard he and the soon to be Mrs. Ike are moving out of state to be closer to her family.

Best Wishes to the Ike's and here's to a future seeing some little Ike's terrorizing opposing backfields down the road... :)

One thing:  He brought loads of enthusiasm each and every day...the Rams will need to replace that.

Awwww, well that's a story with a warm and fuzzy ending.  Good luck to Mr and Mrs E in their future lives and to coach B and coach Davis in their 1st year in Mt. Vernon.  I was thinking we might get a cloak and dagger story of political back stabbing at Ash Park...I guess it's not to be and we can all go back to counting down the days to opening kick off for the IIAC teams ;)
