Hey, hey, what do you say? I've been away from this board far too long. Even paid a visit recently to Hayes Heys country. But now I'm back and super excited for the 2010 season. Go Kohawks!

I heard about that...I hope you had fun!
You can't leave me....all the plants will die.

Good article in today's Register about Central's Snead brothers. Decent article about Coe. Just a couple of lines for the rest of the conference except Loras and Crnell who didn't even get mentioned. All this by a reporter who doesn't know you get a STAPH infection, not a STAFF infection.

Typical
NKD: "We need a f**king touchdown, excuse my French"
FBD: "I didn't know touchdown was French."

Here is the online version...http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20100828/SPORTS02/8290329/1003/archive/Iowa-college-football-preview-Central-duo-one-of-league-s-best

As far as Cornell and Loras getting no mention...perhaps the writer has a thing against the color purple ;D  As far as staph/staff infections...I suppose the reliance on spell check and the lack of editors due to budget concerns will cause more and more issues like tis in the future.

Pathetic that they can't even give note to all IIAC schools, but they get Grandview on page 1.  I know, Grandview is a DM school, but I checked and this organization still calls itself "The newspaper IOWA depends upon"

I'm think I'm getting a lettle testy waiting for first game day of the year.  Go Dutch

I guess I thought I was fairly clear that I used 11 years because that was the information available on the D3-Football site.  I really don't give a damn how you want to look at the numbers.  I simply reported what was available.
Go ahead, review and print 1-2-5-10 year results, whatever makes you happy. In fact, if it makes you feel better, I'll report that Central is by far the greatest football power to ever take the field at any level of this sport. I'll destroy everything in my closet except for those few red garments I currently own.  I'll become a card carrying member of the Reformed Church.  I'll admit only Central grads should be allowed to enter any kind of graduate school.  I'll be sure to let everyone know the sewer line from Central College doesn't smell when it dumps into the Pella waste water treatment plant.  I'll start wearing wooden shoes.  I'll drop to my knees and point towards Pella for prayer four times a day because I've learned the holiest of all people are at Central College.  Just let me know what you want; I aim to please.

Glad you saw the light Warthog, can we expect this in your signature line soon:

I was trying to hold my tounge over the Grand View article. I'd challenge them to schedule a game against anyone in the IIAC. We'd hand them their helmets to them with their heads still in them!

OK I feel better now.

WOW who is a little touchy this season.  I just made a point.  I am not asking you to change your allegiance.  I was not even saying that Central was superior to your Knights.  I made the point that if there was a team that had your Knights number wi was the Dutch.  Not the the Beavers as you suggested.

I think I will let someone else take the honor over.  Some people around here need more caffiene, or something.  You don't need me to do the pickems.

:o :o :o  DF2K4 not doing the pick-ems...that just doesn't seem right.

How about if we can't talk DF2K4 back for the pick-ems...whoever finished either 1st...or last this past year gets to take over running the pick-ems?

Interesting story from the Quad City Times...http://qctimes.com/sports/college/big-10/iowa/article_845882f2-b31e-11df-b09c-001cc4c002e0.html

The Hawkeyes have 22 former QB's on their roster right now.  The theory goes, most high schools will put not just their best athletes at QB, but also their smartest kids.  Iowa will then take a smart, athletic kid and put him at a new position.

I would think that probably happends at the D3 level quite a bit as well.  Anyone have any stories out there to back that up???

Not sure about the historical events, but Central could potentially line up with 3 on offensive snaps this year if Lackey is at RB and Bandow at receiver as was mentioned in the preview.  If it works for Iowa . . .GO DUTCH.

I believe I finished first and would be fine with handling the pick em's.
