North Central threatening inside the 15...need a big play from the Ram D

No.  TD North Central.

TD bad guys at the end of the half....Central down 13-14.

Purple Heys

North Central just outside the Ram 10...looking to break the game open.

North Central punches it in.  28-7 Cardinals.

The Rams have been unable to make a stop in the 2nd quarter as North Central turned it up a notch.

Rams are moving through the air, having trouble running.

2 missed FG's could have put a slightly different complexion on the game.  However the Cardinals' offense is having its way with our defense since late in the 1st quarter.

The lack of a running game, means we can't eat up clock and has not given the defense the rest it needs.

3 yards rushing in the 1st half

On the bright side:
Burdick 12-17 for 172 and a TD
No TO's for the Ram Offense

Cardinals counter with:
77 yards rushing
12-17 227 yards passing 2 TD's
304 yards total offense

Doolittle - I just heard the Central play-by-play guys give you your props!

Ah man, I just got in from watching the Iowa game at my uncles house and missed that.  A story like that is why I love small college football.  Looking forward to flipping between Central and Cornell games for the next hour or so.  Let's go IIAC!!!

Purple Heys

The real difference:

North Central is 2-2 in the red zone; Cornell is 0-2.

We are getting the ball in position, but we have to finish...a cliche, but oh so true.

A 28-21 halftime score would have been sweet.  I would take 28-17 or even 28-13.

Looks like a nice sunny day in Iowa...North Central traveled with a good sized crowd

Sunny, light breeze, about 63 degrees.

Almost like the weather in SoCal...just without the beaches and with more hog confinements around ;D

I am rooting on your Rams and the Dutch right now.  Looking forward to a good afternoon of football.  Especially after my Dubuque and Hawkeye teams have already posted victories :D

PH, 0-2 in the redzone for the Rams.  Is it a case of the "same old, same old" for them or is it different kind of problems today?  How do the Rams look overall???

And what about Central over the 1st half???

While the results may be the same...we look better...the quality of the competition has a lot to do with it.

Ultimately, if we want to be better, we have to get better at this against good teams.
