I'm trying to figure out a way to get to the Central Cornell game tomorrow.  Does anyone know the train schedule to Ash Park?

Every ten minutes or whenever Central is on offense trying to call signals.   ;)

Spurrier

Anyone check out the cincinnati-oklahoma game last weekend. . .#13 spurrier jr got his first collegiant start vs the sooners. . .the bearcats outplayed oklahoma, but did not get the win

I used to read the boards all the time when i played and i knew alot of my teammates did also.

How hard was it not to reply???

Or did players post on here???

Who drove you nuts on here???

pretty easy, people on here are just fans, if you need to defend yourself (or your team) do it on the field. the only reason for a player/coach to say anything on this board is to defend a teammate that is getting bad mouthed for no reason, but that is usually taken care of by posters that are close to the team. really though this is all in fun and its nothing to actually get upset about. Our coaches knew if players posted on here (IP address), atleast if someone from school posted on here, and its pretty easy to spot if it is a player or a fan. If a player was ever suspected of posting on here something would be said in a team meeting to the whole team, not to an individual, pretty much saying what I said above. although coaches would usually crack a joke about what they would have hypothetically said in response to something about their team... turned into more of a laughing matter.

Spurrier;
I know how proud you must be of him. When I have the opportunity I look for him on the field. They should have beat the Sooners. Wish him good luck for the rest of the season.

I've watched bits and pieces of the last two games.  Maybe it's just because I have my eye out for him, but it has seemed like spurrier jr has received a lot of screen time the past two games.  It's been fun to see.

Good luck to everyone today and stay heathy!

UD loses to Coe, 24-22.  Spartans played a great first half and then went into a fog in the 3rd quarter.  Had a chance at the end, but it looked like Hanus got fooled on coverage and threw an INT with just over 2 minutes left in the game.  Tough one to lose ... but UD certainly played better than most expected.
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

Wow, UD let this one go.

Horrendous start to 2nd half!  Lousy punt strategy in wind, such conservative offense?  Who did the talking at halftime?  Didn't chose to watch the end, but I somehow suspected the mantra would be "well we made it close; better luck next time".

Coe's intensity out of the gate 2nd half, and the obvious desire to get back into/win the game is the story on this one.  Great UD 1st half effort.  When my son was little we used to do those little tyk wrestling tournaments.  I remember having to explain to him that he didn't get a medal for winning his first match....he had to go win again, and probably again to get the medal.

No soup for you, today, UD.  Congrats to Coe on winning a tight one against a good 3-quarter team UD team.

Klompen

Congratulations to UD on playing a fantastic game and to Coe on the win.  I didn't watch the game, but I would not be too quick to criticize any team that played Coe to a 2 point loss.  It's better than Central was able to do and if they played a good 3 quarters, that is one quarter longer than Central played well.  I was starting to actually respect Doolittle for saying "it COULD happen".   ;)  Then I thought better of it.   :D :D :D

Hats, er, helmets off to Cornell for doing a very good job of shutting Central down in the first half.  When we get the ball on the 9 yard line and can't score against a winless team, they are doing something right, very right.  Get them a few more players and a lot more conditioning and they could be competitive in the conference, but they ran out of steam in the second half even worse than Central did last week.  Was surprised to see Snead struggling early, but nice to see we can shift Bandow back to QB and see him be successful.  It was nice to see so many younger players get some PT today too.  Slow start, but good win by the Dutch.

Old Dutch, your thinking is right on target.  A three way tie will do nothing for Central, so Coe might as well run the table.  Plus it saves me from having to cheer on Wartburg.   :D   The good guys having to cheer for the evil empire just doesn't feel right.   ;)

Well, you could see Coe lose to UD and Wartburg.  Wartburg lose to UD and Central.  UD and Central  both go 7-1.  Central beat UD and has a better overall record so the Dutch get the tie breaker.  Unless the IIAC goes with the Rose Bowl rule and UD wins the tie breaker because they haven't won the title since 1980.

Unlikely, yes.  Very unlikely, you bet.  Purple Heys reports pigs flying over SoCal if that scenario plays out...possibly.  But, it COULD happen :D

Just think three more points and we would have been calling Dolittledog a psycho!  Or is that psychic?

Doomed by 3 points again, Doolittle?  Don't tell me it was a field goal.   :D

Really shows how you can't compare scores though when Central took it to UD without finishing the game and then loses to Coe who almost loses to UD.  Any given day, every team needs to be ready to play.
