Does anyone know whether Wartburg or Wheaton will have a video stream for the playoff game?

Wheaton typically does for all home games, along with LiveStats.  I'll look up the url when I get out of my next meeting at work.

Any Wartburg or IIAC guys want to give a scouting report or preview of what to expect from Wartburg on Saturday? Strengths, weaknesses, standout players, etc.

Wartburg is not very good and has no players worth mentioning. If I was Bethel, I would just start getting ready for Coe or Wheaton on the 27th.  ;)

Bethel has nothing to worry about. When I watched the Wartburg Central game I didn't see anything special about Wartburg.  8-)

Not only that, but the Knights barely beat the 3rd place team in the Conference.

GO IIAC!  Make some noise in the playoffs!

GO CORNELL! Make some noise in the MWC!

I do know one thing about BU football and the coaching staff....

1st, they will not take anyone lightly and especially a team out of the IIAC!  They think highly of the league, the top programs (Wartburg being one of them year in and year out) and the history of Central, meaning if you beat Central, your good!

2nd, from what I hear, the players think Wartburg is as good as any team they've played this year.  Meaning, they would give UST and St. John's a good game.

I think what BU has going for them is this;
They have several Sr's on this team that played in the NCAA semi finals 4 years ago.  The running back is outstanding, and even though Wartburg has a solid defense, they will have to stop one of the best backs in the country!
BU's defense is small, but very fast and physical.  They seem to play together very well and make outstanding game adjustments in every game I've seen this year.

I think it will be an outstanding game--maybe one of the best 1st round games.  Someone shared on the MIAC site, "where are the UST/BU backers", well, BU doesn't play their game on D3 and they always respect their opponent!
I just happen to be sharing my thoughts because I'm the grandfather of a BU player and wanted the IIAC board to know that BU respects Wartburg and everyone in the IIAC.  Good Luck

Pay no attention to what AEN says! He's an employee of the college and is spreading their propaganda! Wartburg is not good. Take the week off. Have a party. Have several parties. You could have a home game against Coe. Try decorating your stadium in advance. Coe isn't any good either. Start planning for St. Thomas. Don't concern yourself with anything that is going on in Iowa.  ;D

From Wartburg FB web page:

"WAVERLY - Wartburg College, fresh off the program's first unbeaten season since 2003, was awarded the third seed in their half of the 2010 NCAA Division III playoffs Sunday, Nov. 14.

The Knights host Bethel College [University] of Minneapolis [St. Paul/Arden Hills], Minn., inside Walston-Hoover Stadium Saturday, Nov. 20. Kickoff is 1 p.m."

Can we assume Wartburg is taking the advice of its own fans and overlooking BU  ;D

I'll apologize for the Wartburg SID for any slights against Bethel UNIVERSITY.

OK Knights, now you're 0-0.
Let's show Bethel that Wavery isn't Pella and send them home losers.

I hope you don't have to play in an ice storm.  We lost to Bethel but I still believe on a dry field it may have been a different outcome.

I don't know -- both teams were playing in the same conditions that crappy, miserable day. I've always hated the "weather" excuse. The better team (the one who adjusted to the elements) won.

I respectfully disagree with you.  Bethel was the better team that day.  The weather helped Bethel in that they were a running team. Central that year relied on the pass which the weather affected the Dutch more.  We will never know and that is why I stated on a dry field the results MAY and i repete MAY have been different.  I did not say that the Dutch were a better team did I?  We lost to a good team and there was no shame in that loss.

Do you guys think Wartburg will play St. Norbert or Coe in the 1st round?

Neither, Wartburg will be hosting Bethel.

Especially since he also has to worry about the D3 Cross Country Championships and a tip-off basketball tournament this weekend.
