Coe has released their 2011 football schedule...http://www.coeathletics.com/schedule/9/5.php

  9/3   vs.  Iowa Wesleyan College
  9/10 @  Olivet Nazarene University
9/17 vs.  Simpson College - Homecoming
  9/24 @  Wartburg College
  10/1 @  Central College
  10/8 vs.  Luther College
  10/15  BYE
  10/22 @  Loras
  10/29 @  Buena Vista University
  11/5 vs.  University of Dubuque
  11/12 vs.  Cornell College

Looks like the Iowa Wesleyan game has been removed from the schedule...Interesting.

The NAIA board posted the 2011 Mid-States Conference football schedules earlier this year and at that time Iowa Wesleyan showed Coe on their schedule...but Olivet Nazarene did not show Coe on their schedule.  And now we get this...interesting indeed.

Looks like Olivet has Coe on their schedule now.  Weird stuff with scheduling going on it looks like.

I guess everybody can add a loss when they play Central this year! Recruiting is off the charts, good signing day probably...I could easily see us going undefeated this year in conference! Sorry Knights :-P

Welcome to the board. Perhaps, being new, you aren't familiar with D3 rules. There is no signing day in D3. As a Central backer, another term you may want to get familiar with is "quiet confidence". It's worked rather well for the Dutch over the years.

Apparently Wartburg isn't the only IIAC team that has football players signing letters of intent.  To think that last year we thought the Waverly newspaper was all wet when they reported a kid signed a NLI to attend Wartburg.  Now we find out they were just ahead of the curve.

I feel that I may have missed something? I need to come to the boards more often.

How do you know KnightSlayer101 is a Dutch backer??????  Maybe he/she just respects the tradition of Central!  ;D ;D ;D

*yawn* Our recruiting is always off the charts. Central knows exactly what type of student/player we look for, and we hit them with the 50+ years of tradition, amazing facilities, outstanding coaches, academic credibility of the institution.... by the time kids are done with their visits, they are starry-eyed, and there aren't any other schools even worth visiting.

Yeah, that's right. I said it. How's that for quiet confidence, FBDaddy? ;)

(Hey, you don't stay on top for 50+ years without knowing how to recuit, right?)

The problem is I think FB Daddy and Wartburg suffer from major Dutch envy...they just wish they had the tradition and the facilities. I can't wait to see what happens when the Knights are smote this year! GO DUTCH!

PS Yeah there is a signing day for D3, and yeah the Dutch be signin some players. Read the papers.
