Ok ok, so I said January when it was February. It doesn't make anything I have stated on this board any less true. Are there any current Central players on this board? I would love to here how you guys are doing!

At the U of Iowa and all schools in the IIAC except Central they spell that kind of "here" hear.
Actually, the grammar/spelling errors (I better not make one!) prove this is not a Central grad.  I would assume it is Klop (BV supporter having fun) or a Dubuque grad.   ;D

KC DUTCH-
I actually am a former Dutch two-time all-conference player, I also graduated with honors from our college. I am sure most people on this board can't say that...we are a brotherhood KC, I thought you would be backing me instead of throwing me under the bus. I was unaware there were such high expectations for grammar and spelling when it came to this board! I will try to do better from here on out. GO BIG RED!!!  :)

Oh no you didn't  :o :o :o

Wow, it's actually been awhile since someone on here made fun of UD.  I almost missed it ;D

KnightSlayer...it's always good to have a newbie on here.  And newbies always go through some hazing.  Trust me, we haven't had this kind of conversation on here since ShowMe...and coming from a Central fan this makes it even more entertaining.  You are definately not the norm when it comes to a Dutch supporter.  And that can be a good thing.  Breaks up the conventional wisdom and stereotypes around here.

Nope I am Dutch through and through, just pumped for this upcoming season...to bad it is only January :-( Used to play back a few years, but I still support my team, they're my boys

I'm gonna love seeing this guy get out of the hole he's digging for himself.

I need to go in for some very minor surgery.
I was looking forward to some of the medication afterwords, but if it's going to do this to me....no way!

They released half of their schedule?  That is hilarious.  Why not just release the whole thing?

doolittledog

They released their conference schedule...the 2 non-con games are the only ones not on there.  Similar to Coe releasing their schedule with 1 of their non-con games still TBD...and Central doing the same thing a year ago.

AZDutchman:  What's up with the Knox kid from Brophy...all sorts of controversy on his transfer to SD.  They may declare him inel and his team forfeit a pretty good season.

Welcome KnightSlayer101!  Let's talk Football!

I want to shoot out a welcome also!
I remember being a pin cushion when I first came on and still get stuck every now and then.

KnightSlayer101, You started out by talking about recruits.
The talk here in Arizona is...Why doesn't Az have D2, D3 or NAIA schools?
With a high school team, the Hamilton Huskies, getting national recognition there have been more recognition to the players here in Az. There have been more recruiters here than in years past. My sons school has been flooded with meeting after school, personal one on one and asking to see the student athlete during class. The amount of kids going on to playing college ball has increased each and every year.
Do Az players meet up to players in the rest of the nation? I believe so. I think it would be wrong to think that an individual couldn't meet up to the achievements of the others from another state.

This board has set new high standards.

In case you haven't heard we now have a guy who was a two time all-IIAC selection and he graduated with honors.

Bow down and chant after me, "We are not worthy - we are not worthy - we are not worthy."

As a Wartburg grad...I know for a fact that I have lived the past 7 years of my life in complete awe of Central College.  In fact, I have a hard time looking in the mirror every day because of the shame I feel for going to Wartburg instead of Central.  Thank you Knightslayer101...thank you

As a Dubuque alum...uh, where's the beer???

Us Spartan fans want to see wins as much as anyone, but we're conditioned to be hopeful more than expectant, and in the end we learn to appreciate beautiful fall saturdays, a bountiful tailgate, and a well played game.  If we win a conference championship then great, but we aren't in awe of anyone out there.

KnightSlayer touched on the subject.  It would be nice to get some recruiting info, even though we really only know about recruiting once the kids actually show up on campus...and even then it's really more a case of which kids make it through camp and start the season.

Dubuque has updated their roster and removed their seniors...exept Mr. Zweifel, who's getting a 5th year :P

The October 8th Wartburg/Dubuque clash has a 4:00 kickoff.  I hope doolittledog has plenty of refreshments.  4:00 makes for an extended tailgating session.
