Very interesting.  I thought the publics would be much higher and I am kind of surprised by Grinnell's.  Obviously they don't want to part with any of that $Billion endowment to help out.  Retention rates through graduation would be interesting too.

I'm a little surprised by the Maharishi Institute.  Can't they revoke your mantra if you don't pay?

No, they just list you as a Karma Chameleon.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Willie University

The statistics are a little misleading.....accurate but misleading. The University of Dubuque (as an example) has had larger enrollment growth over the past 10-15 years out of most any college on that list. Along with that type of growth comes "growing pains"......as shown in the statistics.

However, things in those areas have been stabilized and are improving. But, what took years to do will also not be completely fixed overnight. But, if I was a betting man (which you all know I am), I would say if you were to look at those same statistics over the next 10 years, you would see steady increases in each category and rankings among the best in Iowa.

That's a safe bet everyone knows the end of the earth is in Dec. 2012.  If it doesn't lets all meet here on March 22, 2021 and see how U.D. did.

I get your humor ... however ... having studied Mayan culture and spirituality, including the Mayan calendar, December of 2012 simply brings the transition from one era to another ... the beginning of a new age.  All the talk about the "end of the world" is akin to all the fuss about Y2K ... remember that?  Still ... on March 22, 2021, I will be in my 79th year ... and would love to make that gathering.

So after reading what Bird Dog had to say I was ready to go off my diet, start enjoying more alcohol, quit my job, and make it to as many football games as I could each weekend next fall...you know, with the end of the world coming and all.

Then, after reading the comments from '65,  with him being a man of the cloth and a general all around scholar and all, I am inclined to stay on this miserable diet, keep drinking in moderation, stay on the job, get plenty of honey do's done around the house and yard, and still make it to 3-4 football games next year and watch the rest on TV/computer.

I'm anxious to make it to this get together on March 22, 2021...will we meet at the Dog House?...will '65 have kept to his promise to not travel to Mexico during football and basketball seasons?...with all of us in our advancing years will we even remember why we were getting together in the first place???

Actually, I will miss two weeks of football in September when we go to China.  And Mexico is so nice in January and February that I won't make any promises there.  At some point, the Spartans will have to learn to win without my karma.
