Will the visiting side seating at Coe be a permenant stand?  Or just roll away bleachers?  How about concessions and bathrooms?  Us Doolittles don't like to walk far for our nachos and restroom breaks ;D
My guess is that they are permanent stands. There was a concrete slab behind the track when I saw it. I haven't stopped by since the arrival of the actual bleachers.

I hope this new excitement at Cornell leads to some wins. They key thing I took away from the Gazette article was "preseason emphasis has been on better and more consistent play." It's so frustrating to see your alma mater play portions of a game. I'm sure, in time, Coach B will get things moving in the right direction.

Heys, do you have any info as to why Spickermann is rockin' the crutches?

ANYONE INTERESTED IN BEING PART OF THE 2011 TOP 25 FAN POLL, PLEASE SEND ME A MESSAGE WITH YOUR CURRENT EMAIL ADDRESS. Now that Kickoff is out, I'd like to get our first poll out by the middle of next week.

Kohawk Krazy

I believe the bleachers at Coe are permanent.

I got a good laugh at the Gazette today with Cornell on Page 3 of the Sports section.  The Kohawks were on Page 1.   ;D

I am sure that won't be the last time that happens this season. It was no different when the Spartans were 2nd tier to the Duhawks in town. They would get the better publicity.

In Dubuque, the Telegraph Herald is very biased towards Lorass.........but FINALLY the Spartans are starting to get the respect they deserve.......I suppose it's a simple formula.

Success = Better Publicity= More Readers. Not many people care about last place teams.

I agree it looks great. almost too good! Loke Groucho said:"I would never
be a member of any club that would have me as a menber!".
NKD: "We need a f**king touchdown, excuse my French"
FBD: "I didn't know touchdown was French."

Are we doing a pick-em again this year?

;D  For the also rans I think DBQ and Luther are a toss up as are Simpson and BV.  Sorry PH, but not looking for Cornell's farewell tour to be any different than any other year.

... you're so flattering

OK, that may be a strong assumption, but to my defense 5 of the last 6 years (except 2008) those three have shared the top 3 spots and appear to have separated them selves a bit from the rest.  Any given Saturday though anything can happen . . . .

High school football started over here yesterday. Same in Iowa? It was good to watch some football, but

I can't wait for Centrals season to start!  8-)

Yes it did.  I think some 4A and some 8 player started last week here in Iowa, but for the most part the season started last night.  Our 2nd ranked Union Knights beat 6th ranked Decorah 20-17 in 3A action.  It was nice for my wife and I to set up lawn chairs up on the hill and watch the game while our kids ran around with their friends.

At this point, I'm happy for Dubuque to be considered an "also ran" and not a "bottom feeder"  ;D  Hopefully, starting with this season, Dubuque will typically be considered a "contender"
