Aaron Kampman on Coach Ed Thomas
I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

I believe this may be a new record for early mention of the play-offs.  I had the over/under at Sunday after everyone had played a game.

It's certainly early for an individual team to be thinking that way.

But at the conference level it is definitely significant. It will affect OWP and OOWP, in-region results and conference perception. All of which officially and unofficially affect Pool C selection. A one loss IIAC school going up against a one loss CCIW school for a Pool C spot will be affected by the results of any Non-con matchups between the two conference. Same with MIAC/IIAC, IIAC/WIAC, MIAC/WIAC, etc.

All I was saying was that this is a feather in the IIAC's hat. If Central wins as well, make that two feathers in their at large playoff headdress  :)

Duhawks likely to handle the IIAC this year. Not much of a debate. Question we run into is what will they do to people's D3 football brackets come postseason.

Yea, finally a duhawk back on here...they all seemed to leave the football part of this board a few years ago and resided in the basketball and soccer boards where they knew their team would be good.  They then all seemed to vanish from the basketball side of things once that program started to slide down hill.  In soccer, the Duhawks are a major player.  A program that just reloads year after year.

Welcome...we would like to see more Duhawks on here...I can't believe this Spartan fan actually just wrote that :o

Final4 and Doolittle - Long Live the DuHawks - Huge expectations this year on the football side. New management will shake things up. Recently new AD Bob Quinn is a big hitter and will bring about positive change for the football squad

Finally, we get some humor back on the board  ;D

Final4 is such an optimist that when he sees an empty glass he says it's full of air.
NKD: "We need a f**king touchdown, excuse my French"
FBD: "I didn't know touchdown was French."

We need to get Walston Hoover, sportsknight, Lance Harbor and davedevine back on board giving us their input on all things Knight.  Perhaps new house/new kid, new job/new house, new kid/new town, etc. have taken a toll on their spare time to devote to keeping the entire free world up to date on what is happening at Wartburg.  Come on guys, we need your expertise.

The Duhawks should be 1-1-0 when they start IIAC play.  We'll see how many Loras fans are around here then.

I find your blind, drunken optimism almost...endearing. Cute, even.  ;)

(Did Knightslayer walk back into the room....I smell something funny.)
A pessimist is a man who feels that all women are bad. An optimist hopes so.

Luther linebacker Kyle McGivney: "We have been 5-5 the last three seasons and we haven't beaten St. Olaf yet. By starting off and beating them and keep building off that we have a better chance of finishing better than 5-5."

Yep, beat the Oles!

Good win Spartans over a proud Augustana program!  Good win for the Iowa Conference as well!

D-dog ... I accidentally clicked on your "smite" button ... so I immediately clicked on your "applaud" button so you don't loose any karma.

The weather forecast for Olivet has changed so there is only a 30% chance of thunderstorms in mid-afternoon ... so that makes the Olivet - Cornell game a little more practical.  I'll try to post a report on that for both the IIAC and MIAA rooms.

Happy Days!
