Thanks for the help but I've had a change of plans and won't be making the trip.  The Rexes will be heading for homecoming in Pella the next week and I can only handle so many miles these days.

For my 500th post, I will say that I have been a D3 fan in general and a Central fan in particular for a very long time.  It has been much more fun since there has been D3Football.com and I can get some actual news and share enthusiasm with other fans, even the ones from (shutter) Simpson.  Thank goodness William Penn is no longer D3.  I don't think I could have been so gracious towards them.  Anyway, thank you D3Football.com.

DuHawks keep rolling rolling rolling. They pulled their starters a little early last week but it's understandable when you are trying to fly under the radar. Going for that auto bid out of the iiac tourny this year, love the new rules.

Waaaaaaaaay under the radar ;D

Loras had some success against UD when they ran a lot of short 5-10 yard crossing patterns in the 1st half.  They then went away from that and would run, run, try to throw deep in the 2nd half and it didn't work. Loras also seemed to run every time the QB was under center and only passed out of the shot gun...pretty easy to figure out their plays as the game went on.  When Loras was in the shot gun the center got beat badly almost every play.  He pretty much would hike the ball, then turn around and tackle the DT that had just blown by him.  The refs just kinda sat back and flagged him occationally so they didn't have to call holding EVERY time the Duhawks went shot gun in that 2nd half.

Overall, I didn't think Loras looked too bad against UD.  A decent team still trying to adjust to a new coach.

Too funny! The ol "lookout" block...Maybe he really wanted to be on the other side of the ball so he was practicing his defensive skills!

Well, I said they didn't look TOO bad ;)

The Duhawks are probably better than 2-8...but they also probably aren't a 5-5 team either.

And like Willie...I am never sad to see the Duhawks looking bad!!!

Loras looked great last week. It is tough starting out with the one of the toughest teams in the midwest, not to mention the best in the IIAC. UD is has a superb football program. I don't think discrediting Loras is the issue. We should Credit Dubuque for their football efforts and national attention draw.

Something fishy is going on and I can't quite put my finger on it!

Anytime a Loras fan even acknowledges that UD exists, there is something fishy going on....

Greetings, Iowa Conference football fanatics. I haven't been around much, but I thought I'd poke my head in to say Wuck Fartburg. Go Coe!

Good luck to most teams playing this weekend! It will be nice to have Spickermann back in the lineup against BV. I think tomorrow is his return date.

To all the current Beavers that are browsing the boards, yes it is okay party on a Friday night. Stay up late, chasing all the new freshmen. You don't want to let some basketball player get there before you. ;)

The bye week came at a pretty good time for them this year. They were pretty banged up from what I heard from the Macalester game. Spickermann will certainly be helpful! Hopefully everyone is healed up that should be and ready to go for Saturday.

Oh and as Cali said...Good luck to most teams this weekend!
